Blaine is a Falcon...and proud as hell!
I know you're being asked this in a number of ways, but I didn't see his name on the latest roster lists...does he have to sit out a year if he didn't go to class at BSU? And did they give him a release to transfer? :D

I'm pretty sure he's enrolled in classes currently. The only issue would be whether Ball State released him from his scholarship.

BINGO

He is enrolled in class / he is working out with the team / not sure about the release.

The following is for the NCAA:

The National Letter of Intent basic penalty is the loss of one season of competition in all sports and a required one year in residence at the next National Letter of Intent institution. It does not include a prohibition against receiving athletics financial aid or practicing with a team.

Really happy that he is in the nest

My source tells me that Blaine is indeed at BG, practicing with the team, but that BSU has NOT released him from his LOI, despite his not attending classes or practices there.

Just glad to see that he's a part of BGSU now, and hope that things will work out well for him.

It doesn't make any difference, because after a year he becomes "released" automatically from his LOI.

No offense...but I don't think the "why" behind his decision is anyone's business but Blaine's and his family. I'm just glad to hear that he's a Falcon!! :-)
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

What happened to Flipper? "No offense...but " Are you trying to hook up with the good karma train with this post?

Anyway, congrats to Blaine and family for sticking to this nest.
