BG-Minny Predictions!
Its Sunday, so lets get on with "next week."
I'm confident after our performance at Pitt, and NIU's performance at UMinn.
I say: BG 38, Minn 34.

No way does this team have a letdown...in our house, home opener, prime time, coming off a BiG win with momentum. Perry Stadium should be packed and rockin after a full day of tailgating. Just can't see a letdown as these players have put all the off the field BS outta the way and are laser focused.

Well, I'm already 0-1 on game picks, but I'm very happy to be 0-1!
I called this game a victory for us at the beginning of the season, and I don't see any reason to change that now. Minny will make this game interesting early on, and might be leading at the half. But BG will come on strong in the 2nd half behind one of the biggest crowds in the history of Doyt Perry Stadium and win it going away.
Bowling Green 35
Minnesota 24
Bgsufalcon24's probability of BG victory = 65%

24. Quality provider of the truth, for better or for worse.
About a week ago I had a dream where we went undefeated and were ranked #13 in the country at the end of the year. The only game I'm extremely terrified of is Boise St.
However, no Minny team is going to want to start 0-2 against MAC teams. It's going to be a fight but I'll give it to BG!

Minnesota is 1-0 against MAC teams. They pulled out a narrow win against NIU yesterday.Metz wrote: However, no Minny team is going to want to start 0-2 against MAC teams. It's going to be a fight but I'll give it to BG!

But yes, the close win should shake 'em up.
My prediction:
BG wins - 34-27

BG 38
Minn 24
Provided the team that played yesterday is the one that shows up next Saturday. In too many years past, on fire one week, serious drop off next week. The team yesterday could run with anyone remaining on the schedule from here on in, and if they do, that also includes Central Mich in Detroit

There is no other way to finish a season other than yelling at the top of your lungs among BG's players holding the Peace Pipe aloft!

Yeah, the 2nd and 3rd games are always telling. We'll find out if everything that happened yesterday was an aberration or not. BG has always come out ready to play in season opener's, now we'll find out if we can back up a great performance with another and if Coach Brandon has truly gotten better at getting the team ready or not.JohnnySwoop '85 wrote:BG 38

first, i want to say how thankful i am that this forum exists. my friend showed it to me the other day, so nice to meet everyone.
on the subject...i can't believe alot of you guys are saying it'll be so close. i was so proud/excited/amazed at the way our defense played against pitt, i think our team will come out intended to send a message not just to the mac, big10, or boise the week after, but to the nation.
