Perry Stadium should be packed and rockin after a full day of tailgating. Just can't see a letdown as these players have put all the off the field BS outta the way and are laser focused.

BG 44, MN 24.

ROLL ALONG!!!
I agree 100% with regard to our team's mental state, but I don't think Minn. is gonna score that many TD's against this defense.

I picked a hellava year to purchase season tickets!

After reading up at gopherhole.com, I get a few impressions. Mine you all of these comments come from the fans, and as we know many fans are ready to jump on and armchair quarterback all evening long (but then again, isn't that one of the main functions of these forums? )

First, the secondary.. in particular Collado. He seems to be someone who would be easy pickings for our crew. He couldn't contain NIU's TD, so we will definately have a few exploits.

Second, their O-line. "My pre-season take that the OL would be the weak link of this team was reinforced Saturday night. The OL will be a work in progress and I don't expect much improvement from the last year in the running game. Bennett is the best we have and he appears to be average at best. Weber needs to keep on his toes once the BT season starts.

By 2009 the OL may be decent once the guys get some experience. "

The general consensus is that right now Minny's OL is pretty passive, though that may be the first game. I'd expect more, but that give our D an opportunity if we seize it like we did with Pitt.

Overall I expect a high shooting game, 32-26 BGSU.

BG 38
Minnesota 27

I watched both games (was at Pitt, TiVo'd NIU/Minny) and can't say I was too impressed with the Gophers. They've improved slightly, but they still have a lot of weaknesses, especially on offense.

This is the bellwether game for BG. They can make a true statement against a Big 11 opponent, on national TV and put the nation on notice.

No problem, man. I got Dana's message about trying to get out of town today around 2  Glad you guys made it home OK. Thanks for grill usage as always.

I'd love to come up to Minny, but work stuff is gonna keep me down here. At least it's on TV - 2-0 would be a dream come true.

Man the Doyt is gonna be rocking for this one. Should be a sell out. Dare I say there may be some scalpers outside the stadium? I don't think there has been this kind of atmosphere for a BG Football contest since the Toledo game in 05 and should be the first sell out since 03.
Minnesota has a pretty good attack on offense. The way they use the spread will cause us to have our back up D-backs on wideouts. Our secondary is great but our backups are inexpereinced. While Adam Weber is not a profilic QB, he can can get the job done. Minny will put up some points. But I expect Tyler Sheehan to have a big performance. Our offense didn't even play all that great and we put up 27 on a great Pittsburgh defense (with the help of turnovers). Minny's defense is atrocious, we'll be scoring all night. 5 TD passes for Tyler. Minnesota can't catch up.

Minnesota is 1-0 against MAC teams. They pulled out a narrow win against NIU yesterday.
I know...was saying that I don't think they really wanted to lose either of their first two! Since they almost did the first, they are probably going to come out fighting harder against us.
