I'm reading the box score on the game and it said his long punt was 79 yards. WOW!!!Falconfreak90 wrote:Game balls....
3) Nick Iovinelli...what a day punting he had. He punted 8 times for a 45 yard average and was very key in the field position battle. Kudos to Neal Dahlman for getting those snaps back perfectly all day so Nick could do his thing.

ROLL ALONG!!!
Great stat of the game...
9 different players caught passes. That speaks wonders for the depth and recruiting that the coaches have done with this team.

That punt was a beauty and we must give credit to the Pitt PR. He lost the beautiful spiral in the sun, it hit the ground and bounced a good 20 yards...it was the type of punt you always want to see. In any event, it truly was a 79 yard punt and a beauty. But Nick had other nice punts throughout the game.footballguy51 wrote:I'm reading the box score on the game and it said his long punt was 79 yards. WOW!!!Falconfreak90 wrote:Game balls....

I just watched the TD run by Sheehan. I would like to give a game ball to Bojicic. He pulled and literally BURIED the rushing defender to spring Sheehan.
That POP deserves a ball. Wow!

However, you've captured what was left of the block in your signature, by the looks of it.BGFalconfromCincy wrote:Yeah I somehow missed that block the first time I watched the highlight, big time pancake thereRightupinthere wrote:![]()

My wife and I met Jimmy's dad after the game at the bar in our hotel. Gave him big congrats on a great game for his son. He was a very proud father, and he should have been!Falconfreak90 wrote:2) Jimmy Scheidler...what a way to open the season for a guy that hasn't been a factor yet. You should have seen this kid's smile after the game by the team busses. WAY TO GO JIMMY!!!

1) Jahmal Brown - The guy was freaking everywhere! And he knows how to tackle!!! BG really made a great adjustment in bringing up the safeties.
2) Dyiral Briggs - The man was causing havoc up front and had 2 huge sacks and 1 bogus PF call. He's gonna be a force in the MAC this year.
3) Freddie Barnes - I felt that his TD to Schiedler really helped to relax BG. That was a huge play in the game and really gave BG the confidence they needed to win the game.

Yeah - my father-in-law and I couldn't get over how ridiculous that excessive celebration penalty was. Even all the Pitt fans around us were saying that was ridiculous. The flag was IMMEDIATE as soon as Briggs started to celebrate. I watched the game on DVR a couple times last night and today, and I counted SIX times in which Pitt players celebrated at least twice as much without a second look from the zebras. Absolutely terrible officiating there.

Could have been 80 yards, if our punt coverage was a little better.footballguy51 wrote:I'm reading the box score on the game and it said his long punt was 79 yards. WOW!!!Falconfreak90 wrote:Game balls....

Just kidding... that punt was a beauty to begin with, got hella roll and not one, but two guys stuck with it and made a great play to stick it at the 2. TOP NOTCH!
That said, I don't think anyone's going to top Macs Leitman for the longest punt in school history at 94 yards.
