I'm right up there with you Brian, but I will give him props as well. He was throwing plays out there that Pitt had no idea how to defend.

I will take a little credit for it though. After we had first and goal the first time and Turner took the snap and ran into the line for no gain, I screamed "TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT". I actually hurt my throat it was so loud. But I swear he heard me after seeing two throws to the TE for TDs. :D

Oh, because of my negative nature, I do have one bone to pick. That bloop kickoff before halftime was a BAD call. Wannstadatadsdr was crapping his drawers on the other sideline. If we kick it deep and they start inside the 30, does anyone doubt that he would have just taken a knee (basically) and ran off the field without even trying to score?

Thankfully it didn't matter in the end.

Yeah - that was a poor decision. I also wouldn't have shut down the offense as early as we did in the fourth, but with the way our D was dominating their O, it might have been the right call.

Other than that, the staff had a really great day. The team was a little starstruck at the beginning, but for the last 3 quarters, we took a top 25 team to the woodshed. Can't do that without solid preparation and great play calling. The wrinkles on O were awesome, and will give the rest of the teams on our sched plenty to prepare for, and the aggressive D was a wonderful departure from what we've grown accustomed to. I hope to god we can keep playing like that all year, and avoid the 2 terrible MAC games we seem to play every year against inferior opponents.

It was also nice hearing all the Pitt fans booing and chanting "Fire Wannstedt". The vast majority of the Pitt fans we ran into were very nice, especially after the game was decided. 4 or 5 different Pitt fans around me all congratulated the team on a big win, and said they were very impressed with the team and the fans. A few guys on my right kept asking questions about BG and the team's history. They got a real education on all things BG, and they were very nice even as we kicked their ass. Other than the sunburn, it was a fantastic day downtown. Couldn't have asked for better weather or a better game to watch.

If you were at the game I think you were sitting behind me, cause the guy behind was not happy with those two instances

Just for the GB haters....he did take full blame for the bloop kick and realized it was a bad call...afterwards he said he would let Sinisa just kick it wherever he wanted (deep)...

Right behind you? The guy in front of my wife and I was Phillip (?). At least that is what some people were calling him. Was that you?

Glad to hear that. I've been hoping for a year and a half that we'd start letting Sinisa kick it deep. He has the leg to get it near or into the endzone, so we should let him do that and then just cover the kick.

In the second half we did kick it deep and he did pretty well with it.

Well that is my full name, though I like to go by Phil. I was wearing a #4 orange jersey as well

Credit where it is due.

They out coached Pitt, the team kept its collective mind in the game, after a first quarter in which they could have folded the tents as they had in the Bowl game. If Pitt was favored, and has "faster" and "bigger" players, they surely got their butts handed to them by a more motivated team that at least felt they were able to compete and win.

It was a fine OOC win, that will deservedly go along side the growing list of such victories for the greater good and glory of BGSU.

That said:

I just want to see BG win the bleep'ing MAC. At this point I don't care what moron is running the program.

I agree 100%. I think that was the only bad decision Coach B made all day. Vrvilo has been nailing those kicks long and when we did that I was like "What the hell are we doing??" DW is waaaaaaaaaay too conservative to go downfield had we kicked it deep. Oh well...Coach gets an A+ instead of an A++. :-D
