Gotta say I think Hodges and Geter should still be sitting...I know I dont have ALL the info on the situation, but man...credit card fraud is not country slow pitch softball...

Flip- I agree. If someone called you up in the middle of the night and wanted you to drive them to Meier to use a stolen credit card and you did....I would think that would at least get another game for stupidity and lack of leadership let alone the whole legal issue

We did just fine without him at PItt and I'd rather do without him just fine this week, too.

AND if one more person says, "well everyone was young and stupid once, " I might barf. I was young, maybe stupid, but I did not steal or help anyone steal anthing.
But then I'm older than dirt and Falcon Fanatic so what do I know.

All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I know we do not know the whole story, but i agree with Flipper, fraud is what it is.

What exactly are the 3 being charged??

Is it fraud or a misdemeanor offense in this case??

Big difference in the eye of the law.

Regardless, only suspending them for 1 game seems pointless. I doubt the players were taught any lessons by that.

1 game is really light for what appears to be credit card fraud. I was disappointed when the initial suspension was only 1 game and now I am disappointed that GB didn't think it warranted further action.

free - I think they were charged with misuse of a credit card, a first degree misdemeanor.

One game only?

Ick. So, this is what it means to be a "player's coach." They would be punished more if they were sent to bed w/o dessert.

Granted [or granite if you're an idiot], I don't know the details surrounding the incident, but my spidey sense is not treating me well right now. There's something smelly about all of this.

Nothing to add really. It's not a severe enough punishment. Especially not in light of the other issues we've had this offseason. Zero tolerance should be the message. I'm sorry, but I'm not into second chances when we've had multiple incidents in such a short stretch. The team should've been told that their teammates already used their second chance.

We'll be a better team on Saturday with Geter on the field, but will we be a better team for it down the road?

Perhaps we don't know the whole story behind this. If we do the punishment seems light.

If they are being charged with a first degree misdemeanor then perhaps 1 game is right.

With that said, my response is where is the leadership on the team?? Two upper class man (along with being potential starters) should have stopped this situation at the beginning. I guess I am more disappointed in this area...one of the three (really all three) should have known that it was wrong.

Without knowing all the particulars (reading the police gave me enough information to form my decision) I too feel that it was a very lite punishment.

Time to move on. The decision was made and opinions were expressed. I just hope this stupid stuff stops and not screw up what can be a great season.
