Pretty pissed I say but Utah and Fresno are the only ones who likely have the schedule strength for it to be even possible. One game at time though, lets not get ahead of ourselves. We still have a lot to prove.BGSUVA wrote:when Fresno St, BGSU, and Utah all are undefeated and going to BCS games?

MACMAN
one team would be ranked in the top 6, the next like 11 and other 15...the other two 11 and 15 would play each other.
the voters who manipulate the BCS system as mentioned would never allow it...it would cost the "BCS" schools to much money. why do you think the only defeated team ...Boise two years ago was not the BCS champs....they are not part of the BCS even though they were the best team...why no Heisman...not part of the BCS.

If 3 teams did make it, along with this rule, I think it would really cause things to change. What if two of them were ranked in the top 10? Would you punish one of them because they're #10 vs. the #8 team, meanwhile the ACC champ that is ranked #23 (if that high) gets a BCS bowl. If this scenario ever played out, major changes would have to take place, or else all of the non-BCS schools should just go to the FCS and refuse to play any FBS opponents.redskins4ever wrote:Only One Non-BCS team is guaranteed a spot if they are properly ranked. I disagree. If Bowling Green were to run the table, the Falcons would very likely be in -- as long as there wasn't another non-BCS school ranked higher by the BCS computerized amalgamated conglomeration.Falconboy wrote:Utah and Fresno are the only ones who likely have the schedule strength for it to be even possible.
Marshall ('99) and Miami ('03) both finished in the top 10 of the polls. Had the current system been in place, both of those schools would have played in a BCS game. They show what is possible.
Boise State and Hawaii also show what is possible. The schedule strength of the WAC isn't much stronger than the MAC.
All that said, there is an insane amount of football left to be played.
