There is absolutely NO way the Gophers are going to Win!

Post by gold04 »

After doing more research on Bowling Green, I'm beggining to think the
Gophers chances of winning are about zero percent! There are a numbers of reasons why I drew this conclusion.

1. Defense - Bowling Green has the best defense in the MAC, while the Gophers defense last year was the worst in the nation. I do think our offense will move the ball and score some, but our D will face a offense that has a very good quarterback and good recievers. That always spells trouble for our team. Bowling Green making completions will be like taking candy from a baby!

2. Home Game - With this being Bowling Green's first home game this year, I doubt there will be too much of a let down for this game.

3. Expereinced team - From my understanding you guys return 8 players on offense and defense. Yes the Gophers return a lot of guys, but many of them did not start until the end of 2007! Experience does make a huge difference in college football.

4. A great passing quarterback - Gophers always struggle against quarterback who can pass the ball. Right now I do not see a change in that pattern. Heck, we struggle against any quarterback! Plus our weak pass rush does not help.

I said this game will be close but the more I think about it, you guys will win easly. I don't like our chances and there is no way you guys are going to lose this game. To the victor go the spoils, and Good Luck the rest of the season. Hopefully by next year Brewster will have things turned around!

Unfortunately, you can never say never with this BG team. As long as Dr. Brandon and Mr. Hyde are on the job, a complete bedsh-tting any given Saturday is not entirely out of the question.

Yup. I feel more confident about this game though than I ever thought I could feel against a B11 team. I'm about 80% we take this one, which is kind of insane when you think about it...in an awesome way.

I wish I could say it better, but this is pure and apt poetry.

I'm not likin' this one too much. Overhype can be our downfall. We need to go into this like a bowl game (nope, tried that and it didn't work), how about play this one like it's Turdledo! Anything can happen, I'm confident in our men, but we can look like a BCS team one week, then a IAA team the next. Go in hard and fast men! Win Win Win!

I just can't see us being over confident or looking past Minnesota. They are a BCS team and the first Big11 team to come to BG since 1966, if we lose it will not be because we weren't fired up or ready to go.

Or the first Big11 team to EVER play at BG. 1966 is just when Perry Stadium opened, ESPN.com ran with that and is wrong.

But yeah, I don't think we'll look past anyone Saturday. If we had put Minnesota away with three more quarters like the first last year, maybe. But they busted our azzes in the second half and we had to claw for a win.

I know MN played you guys tough last year, but that was a home game for MN. Playing at Bowling Green and playing against a top flight Quarterback and reviecers always spells trouble for us. Good Luck, but I don't think you guys will need it.

The Great Doyt L Perry said "ANY game can be won or lost". He was right then and right now.

Can I just leave work now? I won't be doing anything today anyway.

You better go put a healthy wager down on BGSU then. I think whoever wins the turnover battle will win.
