out of programs

Post by irs »

Why at evey big home game does BG run out of porgrams. We were in the stadium at 6:30 and all the programs were sold out on boh side. This was a big game and big crowd. Didn't they think that people would want to save programs from the first big ten game at BG? Dissappointing they were sold out so quickly - not as important after they lost but?!?!?! They have enough free seats and sticks but not programs.

Agreed, We came in about 6:45 and noticed there was no one selling programs. And I know I saw several other people looking for one as well.

They were selling them in the tailgate areas before the game....That's probablly why they sold so quickly. I bought one and immediately noticed it was the same design as last year's. Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, would it have killed them to come up with a new design? What happened to designing new covers for each game? If they don't have time to do it, I'm sure I could do it for them...

Our game administration leaves a LOT to be desired in many areas!

I noticed this in a couple of different areas as well:

Will Call - won't have the Kids Club cards until 5:30, not yet, not yet, not yet. OK 6:00 pm, that's what we meant.

OK, now that we got the Kids Club Card, do we also need a ticket for him. Don't know, don't know, don't know. Yes they do. Which is different than in the past where they just had to show the card at the gate.

Well its a good thing I asked you about that, because I'm not standing in line again for another 45 minutes to get that. (I already had my season ticket, but I had to buy one for a friend who was only en route).
There is no other way to finish a season other than yelling at the top of your lungs among BG's players holding the Peace Pipe aloft!

I couldn't find a program as well. Thanks to BGSU99 and BGSU96, they gave me theirs in the 2nd half....thanks Ed and Michelle!!

All the improvements to DLP Stadium have been great but the gameday administration seems lost.

It will continue to be until there is a new person running things.

For as many things as Christopher has done right he leaves a lot to be desired.

Out of programs at the biggest game in the last 5 years. The event staff doing nothing about the cushions and giving them to students in the 1st place. For as big as this game was you would think they would have had absolutely everything thought and planned out.

Was it last year they ran out of hot chocolate at the coldest game of the year?

It's just little things that leave the casual fan wanting more and may or may not bring them back.

I won't deny that they probably could have printed tons more programs (apparently) and even opened more gates close to game time, but if you're going to blame students acting like a-holes and throwing seat cushions on the AD (or whoever was behind handing out seat cushions), you're WAY off base.

It's enough of a task to get the game going without worrying about babysitting a bunch of 18-22 year olds.

I'm not blaming the AD for people throwing them. I will blame the event staff for not doing anything about it though. The whole cushions situation was FUBAR.
