I'm rarely accused of wearing orange glasses and I do think this is a game BG can win and be competitive in, IF they show up. Last time out there we made major mistakes early and it steamrolled from there. We need to show up ready to play right out of the gates.

Even if we play our best it will be tough because it's such a hard place to play, but we can do it. I don't think this Boise team is as good as they have been the past couple years, but they're still pretty damn good.

It should be a good matchup between two high quality non-BCS programs, IMO. If we minimize the mistakes early and build some confidence I think it can be close. If we get behind early with their fans I can see us getting steamrolled again as well. I actually like our chances in this game a little better after having lost so bad last week...that has to be a motivating factor for the team.
Dont confuse not as good with not as talented. Boise is very very young, one of the three youngest teams in the country so there is not a lot of national hype on the broncos this year. We are easily more talented this year than the year we won the fiesta bowl.Especially at the skill positions. Not being biased i dont think there is a team on boises schedule that matches the skill talent we have and that includes oregon whom we play next week. games are won and lost in the trenches so we will see how the lines materialize. I think Boise is a top 15 team to start the season next year. The best way to offset young talent is expierence which is what you have.
Oh I know BSU is very talented, which is why I said not as good of a team. Talent alone does not win ballgames, as I'm sure you are aware. I don't expect a victory here, but I don't think it's hopeless either. I have a pretty good idea what we'll get out of Boise and it will be a formidable opponent. My question is what we'll get out of BG.

Geez, when we were in that position two years ago, our coach used that as an excuse.

Boise 45
BG 17

I have a feeling our dink and dunk passing game is gonna get exposed pretty badly in this one. Just as Omar suffered in '05, I think this may be Tyler's worse game of his career here, just a bad feeling.

BG wins if they can run the ball, not cough it up and eat away at clock. Boise is very talented, and I think our D will do what it can to hold us in.

I'm not quite the cool-aid drinker some of our fans are......Sure we have some good young skill people but I don't see how people can state that they are the best group in the west and other bs comments I have read lately. Our o-line is very young and smallish. I can't see us overwhelming anybody this year. Our front seven on defense lacked physical play last year and I am not convinced they are any better this year. I think this game is dead even on neutral ground, however since it is played in Boise I think BSU 27 - BGSU 24

Maybe you need to drink alittle then. Most bsu fans are saying we are young and the o line is not going to be knocking people off the ball. Name a team in the west that has a group of rbs better than boise(with the exception of usc). name a pair of wr's that are more talented than jeremy childs and titus young

I haven't seen Young and Childs play much, but Sammie Stroughter and Shane Morales are a pretty good pair of receivers. Arizona State has some talented wideouts as well.

No offense, but a few of the Boise posters seem a little over-confident in the talent of your skill-players. I'm sure they're good, but they're being made out to be dominant world-beaters with no room for argument. Maybe I'll change my tune after watching the game on Saturday, but I'm just not sure they're the best collection of skill players around right now.

If you want to say they're the best non-BCS skill players in the country, I might be inclined to agree with you, and I'm sure they're better than many BCS collections. You guys are just pumping them up a little crazily.

Boy c,

Why don't we let the players prove it on the field before we proclaim them all world. I'm going out on a limb here....but I think BG fans could care less...they see bigtime football every year and nothing we have is going to shake them up. BTW, since you asked, how about BYU and I hate everything mormon.

:!: When did our Broncos Join the SECor PAC10? You sound a lot like some of those A-holes that come to BC and tell us how superior their talent is etc. Take a chill pill dude.

Here's to a great game. I'm looking very much forward to it. :D

I agree, back off a little man. We aren't Boston College fans, and this isn't BroncoCountry.com. Our players are good, but this is a brand new team facing their first legit opponent. We could get creamed, or we could win out in a tough one.

Either way, don't be an ass on another teams forum.[/i]

Ok, when did I once say we were going to pound these guys, when did I say anything other than we have ridiculous talent at the skill positions? Ghost know what your talking about before you spout off. The last post was not even directed at bg posters it was at SDbronco and him downplaying what we have. We have better skill talent than most bcs teams, is there a problem with stating that because if there is i would like for you to tell me. If you find a post where i was out of line feel free to point it out.

As for SDbronco did you see a post were i said we were in the sec or pac ten or even predicted a score for that matter? Im not talking about all positions on the field, im talking about rb, wr, and the dbs.

I'm just saying that these fine people are probably a little sick of hearing this.... "Name a team in the west that has a group of rbs better than boise."

I'll spout as I wish, and right now I'm spouting that you sound like an arrogant ass from some BCS team.

We've got the best emoticons in the East. Seriously, our alcohol-related smileys alone go legitimately four deep.

This is a switch this year. We have infighting but NOT with BG fans. First Minny w/ an Iowa fan and now this.

Fantastic.

Anyone want to tell me what this little forker is saying? :smt091

my appologies. i never said best in the country. i said best on our schedule and that rb group was one of the better in the country and in the west, which all of the publications tend to agree. i also said i dont know how effective they will be because our line is not a line that will be knocking people off the ball. Anyways heres to a good game look forward to seeing some solid football this weekend
