remaining schedule and thoughts
I have attended both BG games this year. Except for a bad fourth quarter against Minnesota, we should be 2-0. With that being said I am going to
look at our remaining games and chances of winning these games.
I am a true Falcon fan, so if I offened anyone, please remember I am being a realist
1. Boise State-I hope I am wrong, but I do believe this is a loss
1-2
2. Wyoming will be a tough game. Have you seen their schedule from
last year. Even though they had a losing sesason, it seemed they scheduled some serious competition. This could go either way. However, I am going with the home team. 1-3
3. Eastern Michigan-They are improved, but we win this game.
2-3.
4. Akron is better that what the critics said about their program. They gave Wisconsin a decent game, and beat Saracuse. I know it is Syracuse, but they are a BCS team. It is their homecoming and they win.
2-4
5. Miami is a pretty good 0-2 team. They have lost to an improving Vanderbilt and Michigan. With that being said, we win at home.
3-4
6. Northern Illinois-They are also improved and we have trouble winning at their place. We lose
3-5
7. Kent-We win at home.
4-5
8. Ohio-They are a good team. We lose in Athens.
4-6
9. Buffalo-An improving team, but we win at home
10. Toldeo-Win
5-6

You know, you just can't do these types of predictions from week to week from this team. I bet if you had done this last week, we'd be going at least 10-2. I'm sure if we beat Boise, you'll be calling for at least 9-3, maybe 10-2 again. A blowout this week and you might call for 4-8. The bottom line is that this team's performance from week to week is just too difficult to project, at least against competition of this magnitude. I think once we get to MAC play, we'll have a better understanding of how good we are and what to expect.
To call for losses against NIU, Ohio, and Akron (especially the latter 2) is simply living in last week's world. Ohio could get murdered by CMU and we'll be writing them off completely (same goes with Akron against Ball State). Yes Ohio and Akron played well last week, but who's to say they'll play that well again this week, or when we play against them? The other teams have good and bad days too. Remember when we crushed Ohio in Athens in 2006, when we were bad? Ohio didn't lose another MAC game that season.
Really our games are just like the electoral college, we keep seeing polls, we keep making projections, but who knows how they'll actually turn out.

There is also the possibility of us running the table the rest of the way...it's been said before, but I'll say it again. This team has Jekyll and Hyde syndrome...they had it in the Minnesota game...The crazy "I don't know what to do with myself" Hyde played the 1st and 4th quarters while the level headed, stick to the game plan Jekyll played the middle quarters. We need the Jekyll team to play 60 minutes of football every single game!!!

BTW, which game are we cancelling so we can go 5-6 when we have 12 games on the schedule?

Well, maybe if we go 5-6 we should can the athletic director, since he's the one who led us to believe that we would have 12 football games this year.Warthog wrote:I agree.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:If we go 5-6 with this team, Brandon should be canned immediately, along with most of the staff.
