Great book on shooting

Post by thomtigard »

As a concerned parent I spent a lot of time looking for a good book on shooting so that I could teach my child to shoot the right way. I was very frustrated until I ran across the book The Perfect Jump Shot.

It's a great book with lots of pictures and accurate descriptions. Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Allan Houston and Oscar Robertson are some of the many NBA players pictured. This is a good book. You can see it at www.perfectjumpshot.com. Check it out it's pretty cool.

Hey Thom,

Have any great books on SPAM?

I don't like SPAM one bit...it's absolutely disgusting...I used to hate those rare occasions when my dad would bring a can home and add it to this salad my mom used to make...eww...freaking gross.

Bah! I'll teach your kid how to shoot. I have the perfect shooting form. It, like my golf swing, is grace and purity!

I have my 6 year old daughter shooting consistently at a 9' rim. Her right elbow is in, body square, and knees and back are part of the motion. As she grows, her wrist and forearm will be more natural. It's fun when she schools the boys next door and 2 houses down.

My 8 year old daughter has a smooth running cross over and good court vision. She has a pass first mentality and is a great anticipater on defense.

(Neither can rebound worth a damn.)

Soon, they'll both be kicking my ass in 1-on-1.

:)

On the cover, Michael Finley is drifting on his jumper. Bad example. HE has the athleticism to get away with drifting. Few do.

Mark Price is conspicuously absent from that cover.

Also, my God, Larry Bird's short are WAY too tight. No wonder he was so slow.

Joe Faine had the sweetest jumper I've ever seen in a BG uniform.
