p.s. hows horizon elementrey and west middle school, as well as boise raquet and swim club lookin these days, they used to be my old stomping grounds when we lived in boise for a couple years.

I can't add anything to the convo here about backs. I'm pleased as punch to have the group we have. Problem is this, as good as we think they are, if our Oline can't move the men in white in front of them, no one will hear the backs' names.

Horizon appears to be the same--West JH was sold to St Al's Hospital and was relocated south of Victory Rd. Just doesn't seem like the same old West where I played BB against Tommy Connor and Bill Hunsaker. BR&SC is still a staple along Cole Rd.

C'mon back for a visit. You won't recognize the valley.

If you read all the publications they put our RB's as the best in the West EXCEPT for USC. None of us are claiming to be better than USC.

But we are MUCHO loaded and non-biased observers around the country back it up.

If the Pitt RB's are so fantabular why didn't they tear you up? I think some of you are hoping they are better so that you can believe you will stop our run game Saturday. I'm also thinking you might find the results on the field to be different.

Our big shortcoming is the young line. It's mostly freshmen who have yet to fill out so they lack size and experience. If we can run on you with our line then the reality is you have to give props to our RB's.

Sounds a lot like what I had said beef. our running backs are great and athlon sports actually rates them higher than use’s all of the other major publications have us right being them, but I just did not see our o line knocking the d line off the ball and really don’t see us being able to pound the ball on any team. our o line is light and young and from what I hear agile but the d line we face this week may be the best d line we see all year with the exception of Oregon, my hopes are that they are able to get to the outside and I would not be surprised to see some shovel passes up the gut. It will be interesting to see if BG trys to run the ball more in this game then the last two. From listening to their play by play guy it sounds like they have three very capable backs that are all a change of pace. With isu having moderate success running the ball on us I thing BG is really going to try and establish the line of scrimmage by trying to run it right at us. Is anyone able to tell me some info on bgs o line? How have they looked in pass protect, have they given up many sacs? And also are they creating space for the rbs when they are running the ball.

It's interesting that you feel our d-line is one of the best one's you'll see this year. It's been one of the biggest question marks for us over the last several years and always seems to catch alot of grief on this board. So far this year, the starters seem to be holding their own pretty well. Depth is a concern. Time will tell if they can hold up through the season.

The o-line has been a strength for awhile now, but with 3 new starters, there were worries coming into the season. They're a little smaller on average than recent years, but seem to be pounding people pretty well so far. There's been alot of talk about all the knockdowns they've had over the first two games. Pass protection seems pretty good so far too. 3 sacks given up over 2 games I think?

Personally, I'm really happy with both units so far. If they can avoid injuries, I think they'll be fine.

Agree with Able. I've been pleased with the line play on both sides so far.
