The fact of the matter is that there is a certain code of respect in hockey. Which is why veterans sit at the back of the bus, do not pick up pucks, do not clean up the bus. Unless you feel like being labeled as a cancer for the rest of your career you would not come in and demand a number of a vet. It wouldn't happen, nor did it happen here. Hope that helps roodtard.
Listen, I don't know who Rood is, and I have no idea who in the hell you are, but I am asking you to please tone it down. This kind of vitriol in this forum is getting quite old, and it long predates you. Furthermore, our moderators don't deserve the task of putting up with your immaturity. I didn't say that Sinclair demanded it. I said maybe Boyd gave it to him. Big difference.
Yes, please watch it. We've locked threads that head in this direction.

Regarding the Sinclair/Boyd number thing...Maybe the coaches promised him he could have #20 when they were recruiting him. It's happened before. Hopefully Boyd wasn't forced to give up the number if he had any attachment to it.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

No problem, just keep the talk civil. Agree, disagree, whatever, just knock off the name calling. We had way too much of that in the past. Things have settled down for awhile...off season helps that!! And we like it that way.

Hope we hear some coaching news pretty soon. The waiting is driving me nuts!!!

Back to an earlier topic in this thread: I talked with Boyd this evening at a hockey picnic. I asked him about his number change and he said he asked the coaches if he could change his number at the end of last season. Hope that settles this discussion!!

No fair talking to the players in question. We only deal in rumors and speculations.

How was the potato salad?
