Where Are They Now?

Post by 1987alum »

Checking in with Anthony Glaud

Image

He didn't play in Delaware State's opener against Florida A&M, but he got a lot of playing time in the Hornets' loss to Kent State. He completed 13 of 21 passes (61.9%) with 0 TDs and 1 INT.

Apparently, he's the backup.

So he'd rather be the backup in 1-AA than 1-A? Ok...good luck!

Zach Charles also played for Delaware State...I think I remember seeing him with 2 receptions for the Kent game in the box score.

i saw him against south florida and he was bootin the ball. amazing what happens when he has a normal punt formation. also glaud lit up his spring game and the only reason he was number 2 was because del st has a senoir qb. it wouldnt suprise me if glaud would be the starter for the rest of the season for them.

Charles has played in both games this season. He's fifth on the team team in receptions (4). He's also returned one punt for 9 yards (their other returner has four returns for, get this, NEGATIVE 11 yards). Charles is also their top kick returner with five returns for 104 yards.

I suspect Glaud will finish the season as the starter and Charles will become a favorite target.

It's a shame Omar never got a shot with Kansas City. You see the collection of QB's they have used this season? Yancy Thigpen is their starter now.

WH:

You know, I see some of the hacks at QB in the NFL and think, how is it possible guys like Omar, Josh Harris and, dare I say, Bruce Gradkowski are not employed in the Big League. Same for receivers ... a guy like Magner - sure hands, great routes, tough as nails, or Sharon - I see some of the flops collecting the big dollars and wonder - why not them?

I believe it's Tyler Thigpen. Yancey was a receiver for the Steelers in the 90s.

Maybe they should give Omar a call.

C'mon J4H, give me some credit. I knew that. I was just trying to show how bad the Chefs QB situation is.

You mean it is not Bobby Thigpen? :-)
