thanks for all the posts guys, although I'm still first and foremost a rocket fan, this point in the season is when I become a MAC fan and hope that all teams kick @ss in bowls.

Toledo Rockets Football

Post by BGSU99 »

I can't really add much to what's already been said, but count me among those who respects our rival and what they accomplished this season, as well as what they have been accomplishing in recent years in the MAC. They definitely earned their title this season. Hopefully we will be tasting that kind of success soon, like next season. I'll definitely be rooting for all the MAC teams in the bowl games.

It is preferrable to playing it Saturday at noon... and only seeing the game broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit, Fox Sports Ohio, Empire, etc.
I disagree. Being on TV for a national audience against no other college football game is good for the exposure of our teams and our conference.

Damn...we complained for years about never being on national tv and now we want it the other way? No way.

Shrak - what are you hearing about Gradkowski's injury? Will he be able to play in the MCB?

Wow. Glad to see Falcon fans responding like this. Give the devil his due...they win games, they make plays. They adjust. They don't give up. Bruce can play.

Two MACC in three seasons, and three divisions in four (right?). That's where we need to get. Congrats to the Rockets.

I think what I am, and others are, saying is that it would be preferrable to play the MACC game on Saturday at Noon on ESPN or ESPN2. The ideal situation would be national TV on a night other than a work night or on the weekend. What about Sunday?

I think my last post was misunderstood.

I'd rather suck it up and play our championship on a Thursday night if that means we can get national coverage. I was disagreeing with C.O., not agreeing with him.

Sure it would. But ESPN clearly hasn't wanted to do this, for whatever reason.

There is this thing called the NFL that makes getting college football on television difficult Sundays.

Bruce had Surgery yesterday morning to install a pin in his throwing hand. He is expected to be out 10 days to 2 weeks but is expected to start in the MCB!!! Scooter on the other hand doesn't look good. Looks like he has either a very bad sprain or a torn ACL. (News last night said he was out for the rest of the season but it has not been confirmed by the Univeristy yet).

- Good luck in Mobile The Rocket Faithful will be cheering you on!!!!
