Previous Opponent Wins

Post by buffaloefalcon »

What do you think! Will these wins from previous opponents give us a chance to see the top 25, since their playing much better. If we can smack Wyoming in the face and get through the MAC, we can see a pretty good bowl this season. I'm freakin out over the Bulls though, I don't know if i'd want to play them this season since their doing good against the #5 team in the country.

I wish you had two options here , one for Minny and one for Pitt. I think one of them helps us but not the other. I'm thinking Minny surprises some with its increased production in the spread O , and I think Pitt falters down the road, but that's just a guess.

FWIW, Boise St. is up 24-6 on #17 Oregon. That Boise loss might end up being our "best" loss.

37-13 Boise....

Post by Falconboy »

Now at the end of the 3rd qtr. Boise is really taking it to a pretty good Pac-10 team right now. Peterson must be one hell of a coach to be able to do this to a ranked Pac-10 team such a young squad. As a non-BCS program Boise is so beyond us and most if not all of the rest of the Mac it's not even funny.

Oh yeah, and Boise is away from the smurf turf AT Oregon. Makes that 2nd shutout by our D fairly impressive.

Great point FWF. 2-2 OOC and running the MAC should put us in a nice position. I truly believe we should run over Wyoming. Then, MAC play begins. There is NOT one single team on our remaining schedule that we should lose to. I have a high bar right now.....WIN OUT!

I'd normally agree with ya, but none of that will happen if our offense does not get into serious gear. At our present offensive efficiency we are destined to lose at least 2-3 more games to opponents we SHOULD have no business losing to. As much improved as our D has been, its not good enough to win us games with absolutely putrid offensive play.

Substantive comments please, get over my previous anger. Hmmmm, sounds like your dislike of any posts of mine come from your illusion that I can't get over a loss. Appears that I have (human trait), looks as if you can't get over the past. Learn to stop your in-house fighting, I said nothing against you or what you said. Apply for the mediators job, or just shut up worrying about what someone else posts. No names needed since the guilty will reply to this.

Well atleast you got the end part right. I don't have an illusion that you cant get over a loss, I know many people who can't, do I find it annoying, sometimes yes, but that wasn't my problem with your posts, my problem was you were treating the losses like they were the end of the world when they weren't. I agree that things are going wrong and need to be fixed in the Wyoming game and during MAC play, but you were treating these two loses like the world was ending, and we had no hope the rest of the way.

As for your "just shut up worrying about what someone else posts" line, uh this is message board, if I went with that approach I would have no reason to be here

Can't we all just get along :P I really believe that we run it the rest of the way. If (excuse me) when that happens, all Falcon faithful will be in a cyber-utopia. can't wait for it!! I'm dead serious when I say we run the table. We will.
