OSU taking it to USC

Post by BGGrad01 »

The Beavers are making USC look like a high school team. USC can't do anything offensively and a 5'6" true freshman RB is running right up the middle without any trouble.

Very surprising.

I watched most of the game...classic case of a letdown. USC didn't seem interested in playing while Oregon State was jacked up. We were at Reser Stadium last year when we made the trip to Oregon. A very cool stadium...and there is a ton of orange...never a bad thing. :-D

The experts said all summer that "OSU vs. USC is going to be the game of the year."

Why would the Rose Bowl want two PAC 10 teams, and I didn't think Big 12 teams could be invited to the Rose Bowl.

Isn't the Rose Bowl Big 10 v. Pac 10?

I thought Oklahoma State was in the Big 12.

I DO hope so. Bucks will be a different team by years end. From I understand (have heard this discussed on the radio anyways) is that OSU is revealing its new offense tomorrow against Minnesota. My guess is that the Terrell Pryor playbook that was supposed to be on hold until next year has been moved up earlier than expected.

I know JT said on his call in show that the freshman receivers will be playing a lot more as well as the big offensive linemen (Brewster, Shugarts, Adams). Brewster has already seen a lot of playing time and looks pretty good. Nick Mangold the 2nd.

They have made a lot of changes on the depth chart on defense too, moving Thaddeus Gibson, and Heyward around on the D line and moving more freshmen up the depth chart. Sounds like they are putting more pressure on the Seniors to perform or get off of the field if they don't want to play.

I hope Willie Geter was watching 'Quizz Rodgers last night. That was fun to watch. Geter should watch that game over and over and tapes of Garrett Wolfe!

Offensive adjustments? Those don't happen! That's absurd!

well...they definately opened up and produced over 400 yards of offense and 34 points. The scary thing for opposing teams is that they STILL looked a little sluggish at times with dumb penalties. Two "too many men on the field" calls in a row took away a probable touchdown and forced a missed field goal.

I believe there were more than one delat of game calls that cost them probable 1st downs. It is much harder to convert when your 3rd and 1 becomes 3rd and 5. Both of those were in the red zone and forced a field goal (twice). It could have easily been 50-6 before they put the back ups in.
