Yup. They're pissed off, we're feelin' pretty good about ourselves. We have frequent home letdowns and turnover issues. I would take any FBS team against us with a spread that big.falconfan1999 wrote:Really? After giving up 37 to NIU? Thinking we'll win by a little less than 20 is no confidence? I have no confidence in our coaching staff to get the team ready to play on a consistent basis and blow people out, but if we lose to EMU on homecoming, I'll eat my hat.bgsufalcon24 wrote:It surprises me to no end how some of our fans have absolutely no confidence whatsoever in this program.
I just hope RUIT and J4H have the balls to predict an EMU victory too.

Sorry, I got the feeling that you thought we were evenly matched with them or something like that. That's clearly not the case. There is a way we could lose this game, but it would probably require at least 5 turnovers, possibly more.
Honestly, I don't see how EMU is going to score in this game. Their offense is horrendous as it is, and our defense is really starting to build confidence. Basically the win margin boils down to how well the O is able to move the ball once they get inside EMU's 25 yard line. We move it all day in between the 20s, but the red zone has been a problem for us, at least until last week.
But again, turnovers are the only thing in the way of us covering the spread. I don't think the team will come out unprepared on their first home game in 4 weeks, on homecoming. This isn't family weekend.

I'm gonna go with what has been said elsewhere for our previous games. If the team that played against Pittsburgh shows up we'll hit the spread and then some...however if the team that played against Minnesota shows up then we can very easily lose this game. We'll just have to wait and see come kick-off as to what team has decided to show up.

As I was saying...........Rightupinthere wrote:We won last week so I would take the Emus and the points.
Just when you think you should win a game..............
Yeah, we lost. Big deal. It was still great to be back in BG. Loved it.
