In honor of Dr. Lee and Marge Meserve’s dedication and loyalty, the BGSU Athletics Department is proud to name the BGSU Softball Field, the Lee and Marge Meserve Softball Field.
There will be a sign unveiling and a dedication ceremony, this Friday, October 3 at 4:00 pm at the BGSU Softball Complex. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Dr. Lee Meserve serves as the Faculty Representative and for over 11 years he has been representing our teams, our athletes, and our staff in an exemplary manner. Both he and his wife, Marge, have spent thousands of hours watching all our 18 sports and 425 student-athletes over the years. While Dr. Meserve will continue to serve in this role, it was thought that it would be appropriate to recognize his years of service sooner rather than later. By unanimous approval of the Board of Trustees, the softball field will be named the Lee and Marge Meserve Softball Field.
Congrats!! Can't think of anyone more deserving of this honor!! They are FANTASTIC Falcon Fans!!! (Dr. Meserve also has a great sense of humor at the hockey games, btw!!
