I know the jerseys are "trendier" than many of us like, but they are not like many other schools. I have only seen the design on the away unis of (I think) arkansas(?) on this board.

They are pretty unique, and the brown part looks like wings to me.

I agree that it all ties together nicely.

BG, at this point, does not have the widely known history such as the Tide, the Browns, or Penn State. So if we kept with the "old school" look, it would not be seen to many outside the as us throwing back to our heritage, it would be more like BG being out of touch and not purtting forth an effort of really updating our attitude. Right or wrong, the program needed to do something to add some additional excitement around the program. I think the new Jersey's and Team Identity with the logos and font will help that process.

Then, once we get the program really humming, and people know about BG and that it is IN OHIO, then you can afford to go with a more "throwback" look. I could be totally off my rocker, but that's what I think could have been part of the motivation.

It does match the tractor motif...

I still don't get how these uniforms are "Denver Bronco" clones. Compare them side-by-side. I also think they will look way better with pads than many of you think.
