Pork is ON!

Post by hammb »

Well the pork butts have been on for about 45 mins now and the cooker is almost up to the target of 225*

Cannot wait to get out there and start tailgating tomorrow! Looks like we're going to have perfect fall football weather!

We're here....just waiting for everyone to show up!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Pork's done, beer is cold, truck is packed. Gotta stop for some ice and I'll be out in less than an hour.

Hope to see everyone out there!

BG plays like a butt!
What kind of smoke do you use? I use oak, apple with a touch of hickory.

I love apple, but that's not what I used today. Today was a mixture about 50/50 hickory and peach. Peach is a very underrated smoke wood. More mild than apple, but still a touch of sweetness.

Sorry I missed you guys yesterday. We got there a little bit earlier than expected and got set up in a different area with some old friends. Sounds like I really missed out on the pork.
