I would assume. I'm a little concerned though that no centers seem to be on the horizon, but there could be and we just don't about them I guess. After Larson and Polk graduate , our front court looks might thin. A fast pace tempo does help you get away with less size at the center position but even Memphis had guys in the 6'10 range but were very mobile.renorvis wrote:With all the guards we are coming across maybe we are looking to play a fast paced uptempo type of ball in this year and next year.

Do your part. Call all your quick, athletic 6'10" friends and tell them to get their butts out there.

We're not getting any Memphis type big men in the future. Being small is fine in the MAC.Falconboy wrote:I would assume. Yes, and many other places. You don't need good 6-10 guys to be a good D1 basketball team. That type of height is extremely overrated. I'll take guys who are 6-8 with skills. Hell, look at the rosters from the last NCAA Championship game. How many starters were 6-10 or bigger?Falcon137 wrote:We're not getting any Memphis type big men in the future. Don't tell him that. He thinks every basketball team needs a shaq in the middle...guys or ladies!Falcon137 wrote:We're not getting any Memphis type big men in the future. Coach Cross is of course Toledo's new coach. I heard him on WSPD last week. He was speaking of needing so many wins to be in the NCAA tournament while never mentioning winning the MAC tournament.factman wrote:Who the hell is Coach Cross? Doesn't that belong in "other schools"?
sorta
Man does he have a lot to learn about MAC basketball!

As you can tell, even at the highest level you have to someone 6 foot 10 or over. Right?

Their tallest player is some 6'9 guy named Tyler Hansbrough? Wow...they don't have a chance...Falcon137 wrote:As you can tell, even at the highest level you have to someone 6 foot 10 or over. Right?

Wow, do you guys even read? Their tallest player Tyler Zeller is 7'0. 1 guy at 6'10 and the rest are of them are 6'9 or under. I will take 6'8-6'9 guy that can run and are athletic any day over slow footed 6'11 guys who either can't move or have no post game whatsoever.Metz wrote:Their tallest player is some 6'9 guy named Tyler Hansbrough? Honestly, that was not there earlier. I'm not joking either.Falconboy wrote: Wow, do you guys even read? Their tallest player Tyler Zeller is 7'0.
