Honestly, that was not there earlier. I'm not joking either.

Ha! It WASN'T there. Seriously.

The point still stands.

I'll take Danny McElroy, Brandon Hunter, Danny Horace, etc. any day over over any 6-10 or over stiff currently in the Big 10, with the possible exception of Mullins.

Metz is correct. Coach Williams went out and quickly recruited the 7 footer when he read Falconboys post that you need a 6'10 guy or larger

Haha! Nicely played. For real though, there were no freshmen on that website earlier!

Who said anything about NEED guys 6'10 and over? It be more preferable but not an absolute necessity if they guys that you have are plenty athletic enough and have other skills to make up for lack of height , beef or whatever like ball handling ability or some outside shooting skills.

Besides your first question that makes no grammatical sense, do you realize everything else you just stated completely contradicts everything else you have ever mentioned about basketball? I lost count of how many statements you've made about needing more size to compete against other teams in our league as well as others. Now you just stated that athletic ability can make up for lack of physical size.

This is why 90% of the people on here don't read anything you have to say anymore. You stopped making sense around post number two. I don't know how many times we all argued against you that an undersized team with athletic ability is a good college bball team, and you bashed our logic down saying, 'no, we need bigger people' in both the men's and women's bball boards. Seriously...do you take joy in being an idiot?

I guess were just gonna have to disagree here. I've never bashed anyone's logic that said a undersized team with athletic ability is not a good BB team. The only thing I've made a deal out of is , that if we're not gonna get athletic players we better at least get some size to at least be a physical presence or intimidation factor down low. I actually prefer the slightly smaller quicker, more athletic players. I really don't care to have huge slow , uncoordinated stiffs on our mens' or women's bb teams. The only thing about having the taller center's helps us is in certain matchup situations when playing the usually bigger BCS conference opponents. No, you certainly do not need a plethora of 6'11 center's for men's or 6'5 centers for women's to compete in the Mac. I think one really big center is a plus for certain matchup situations but I'd rather have the majority of my team be athletic and quick with good all-around ball skills.

The problem with us at least in men's basketball in past years (hopefully this changes) is that we have had both smaller players who were neither athletic , quick or had good all-around ball skills. Thats why we've sucked mostly in past years in men's bb. Our lack of 6'5 girls hasn't effected us one iota in women's bb in the Mac. The only time we notice us getting outmatched by size usually is when we are in the NCAA Tourney.
