Why do we insist on getting cute with that stupid pop-up kickoff? Akron runs it back to our 40.

I can't decide if it is our kickers, our coverage, or the fact that we have a coach who can't buy a clue about how to use a kicking program effectively.

If you have a kicker that can consistently get it down to the 5 on one side of the field, it's absolutely retarded to pop it-up to the 20 half the time.

And Kenny Lewis responds with the Big return to the Akron 30! We must get a TD here before the half.

Sweet! I'm multitasking between the BG game and the Pens home opener.

We survive a review on a borderline fumble/incomplete pass, and then Sheehan comes up with a big 3rd down TD throw.
It'll be an interesting second half.

What I want to know, is how on earth do we shut down - for the most part - Pitt & Boise (in the second half) and then let Acorn go through us like a hot knife through warm butter?
Forever a Falcon!!

We got a huge break on the fumble/incompletion call at the end of the half. It certainly looked like a fumble on the replay. We need a good defensive series to start the half.
