Hey I kind of like that one, but I don't remember when we ever wore those. It looks similar to some of the newer NFL jersey (Buffalo, Tenneessee, Seattle) with the entire shoulder areas being a different color from the front and back of the jersey.

I'm reasonably sure our players never wore anything like that. I wonder what purpose that jersey served.

Could it be a lacrosse jersey?

We sure haven't worn anything similar to that in the past 40 years, to the best of my knowledge!!

I thought it was varsity around '86. Am I wrong?

Nope, we were club in 86. Not sure when the varsity status was actually lost.

What a blast it was beating up on Miami, Toledo and Ohio on a regular basis. We won the Falcon Cup, which was the Midwest Lacrosse Club championship, I believe three times. You can go down to Mr. Spots where I think they still keep the cup.

Being the logo and uniform guru that I am I can say that the football team never wore this as a jersey. Unlike other auctions that say "game worn" I believe this to be "fashion" style jersey just created to sell at stores... much like pin striped Indians jerseys and such. . .

It isn't anything offical to be sure. I saw some guy wearing one up at Franklin Park Mall this past weekend. I've seen them around from time to time.

They look nice, can't say I dislike them, but they are most certainly not either a throwback jersey or anything other than isolated niche product.

It was around 80 or 81 that varsity went away.

When I took lacrosse in Phys-ed, we played the Toledo club twice. I remember riding up to Toledo with Shawn Walsh. (late BG alum and hockey coach at Maine)
