Lucky? No.
Fortunate? Perhaps.
Earned in the 4th as much as they gave it away in the first 3? Definitely, but that's not one word.

419 total yards and 37 points on the road in a must win game against a tough Akron team. Lucky?? I think Michigan wishes they were lucky...or how about Auburn today? Right about now I think they were wishing they were lucky--- 17 point favorites at home and all against Arkansas.....Roll on BG warriors!!! Nice bounce back win.

Don't forget that we were only favored by 1

This team is talented enough to only play one good quarter and still get a tough road win. Makes it frustrating when they don't play that way all the time, but it was good enough to win today and that's all that matters.

Amazingly, we're alone in first. Wow.

We can't be picky. We had to have a win, and we got it, one way or the other.

Exactly. A loss today and we'd be pretty much dead in the water at 0-2.

The fact that we made mistakes and won in spite of them tells me that we're learning to deal with adversity, even if self-inflicted. And honestly, the close result makes me feel better that we won't look past Miami next week. It's hard to look past teams when you're a.losing, or b.going down to the final play to get a victory.

I'll go with gutsy.

I'll also go with a shred of lucky too though.

Hey! We won. We're playing in a league. Call it a conference if you must. The winningest team takes all. There aren't any points for style. There is just a win column, and a loss column.

My understanding is that in a league, you win one game, and you move on. We won. So, who's on the menu next week?

Way to go, Falcons. Let's grab a win next week, too, although I shut my eyes whenever Miami is on the cards. Any win will do. Especially with Miami.

Gutsy is the word I would use. This team's season was half in the coffin to start the 4th quarter. They rallied and did what they had to do to win. Akron is a better team than most will give credit and they play pretty well at home. In this conference, I'll take a win any way we can.

This team didn't fold when down by 14 in the first half twice, and 13 to start the 4th quarter. This could be the turning point of the season...

I agree with the Freak 100%...that was a gutsy win against an Akron team that has been better this year than a lot of people expected.

Time to pay Miami back for that ass whuppin in Oxford last year...
