Nope. Minny just scored more points today.

Remember how "bad" of a loss that was for us when they beat us at home? Yeah right. They beat Illinois and they don't even have their no. 1 running back that got hurt late in our game. Yeah..they are terrible. Horrible loss for us wasn't it? Ask Illinois how bad Minny is. Check the threads after our loss to the Gophers. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Cowboy, come on. Were you watching the same game that we were? It was a terrible loss because of the mistakes that forced the loss. Minnesota didn't do anything special against us to win, we beat ourselves that game. I can honestly say that just because Minnesota beat an Illinois team that isn't as good as last years team, I feel better about our team, or that loss. Ashamed? Come on. Minnesota is much improved over last year, but that doesn't mean squat when it comes to our game, or our team. BGSU let a game slip away from them with poor play and mental toughness. That is all there is too it.

Illinois had planned a bit of a party Saturday. It was homecoming, the head coach had implored fans to show their support and the basketball teams provided postgame entertainment on a temporary court in the south end zone.

The Illini invested a lot of emotional energy getting ready for Saturday's game against Minnesota, but they watched it all result in a basic flat showing in a 27-20 loss to the 12-point-underdog Gophers.

"This was a pivotal game, I thought, for us," coach Ron Zook said of the buildup. "I was worried about exactly what just happened."

Sound familiar? Maybe giving credit to Minnesota is what we all need to do.

MN has impressed me this year. They are a much better team than a year ago and clearly the players are buying into Brewster's plans. Yeah they laid an egg at OSU but other than that, they've played well.

We made the mistakes against them and they took advantage of them.

Every year isn't a "crazy" year in college football. No season will shake out cut and dry anymore. "Upsets" and I use that term loosely, will be the norm. It's just the (better) age of parity we live in college football. It's fun!

As a side note, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Boise State are now a combined 15-2, and ranked at an average of 22 in the AP poll. (15-BSU, 22-PITT, 28-MINN). No one can accuse BG of not challenging themselves this season. I think it's a reason to be optimistic against the rest of the MAC, as I think 3-3 against the schedule we've played looks alot better than if we were 5-1 against a couple of cupcakes in the NC schedule over the teams we did play.
