I think doug was talking about camping on the playing field. I'd be pretty shocked if they let them have fires on the field, even in an off the ground fire pit. That just doesn't seem like a good idea at all to me.
Yeah....that wouldn't be good, I suppose. Would driving stakes into the turf for the tents be a good thing?

I was told if they want to camp they have to use the pop-up tents, no stakes allowed.
