Have to ask

Post by kdog27 »

Is anyone surprised by this?

It doesn't even make me mad anymore. I am immune to it. It comes as no surprise to me that Miami plays their best offensive game against us. The announcers talked all first half about how Miami came ready to play and were psyched up and Bowling Green...

It is the same story every week. Sometimes we win these games (Akron), sometimes we lose them (Today, EMU), and every once in awhile we look like a good football team (Pitt).

Whether you are a Brandon supporter or not this game cannot be a shock. We lost to EMU, hell yes we can lose to Miami too. Maybe Gregg overlooked them too. I wouldn't be surprised if next week we look better than Texas.

Surprised? No. Not at all. But I'm still pissed as hell. But yes, I do agree with you above.

Surprised? No.

Disappointed? Yes

On a side not---Was anyone else dumb founded when Briggs got his 2nd personal foul penalty and then came off the field acting like someone stole his blanket? That game was embarrassing on so many different levels.

You know what though, Briggs was one of the only players out there that played worth a damn. At least he cared...

Yeah except for the 30 yards of penalties he had negated the sacks.

Wasn't dumbfounded at all. I think Briggs was a victim of mom's ol' "the second guy gets caught". The Miami(OH) lineman was blocking him 15 yards downfield and five seconds after the whistle. I didn't see the shot that drew the flag, but it sounds like he swatted the guy off him and got the call.

His first, on the other hand, should have him running stairs until practice Monday.

Briggs absolutely abused the OL today and was NOT getting the holding calls that should've been thrown all day long. That said, there is NO excuse for losing your cool and drawing personal fouls like he did. I don't think it helped matters that he was in the refs faces all day as well telling them that they were missing the calls. He was playing outstanding and not getting holding calls, he then showed up the refs, and they punished him when he lost his cool.

Too bad, because he really ruined a day where he played pretty darn well.

Speaking of the refs, it was awfully nice of them to give Shane Montgomery a whistle and flag after they got hosed on the inadvertant whistle.

Not that we didn't help them out a boatload. :(
