Not related to BG hoops, but sticking in NW Ohio, Heidelberg beat Marietta today 136-120!!!

It reminds me of those old NBA games with the Nuggets. They always seemed to put up 125+. (No word on if Alex English appeared in the box score.)

I went to a Div. III college in Iowa so I was exposed to Grinnell. Don't know if you have heard what they do, but they have this offensive scheme that as soon as the opposition puts up a shot at least one guard goes down and spots up for three. They get it to that guy in two passes and he shoots. They average about 115ppg and the leading scorer usually averages about 30ppg.

It is pretty wild to experience in person. I even got a chance to see them take on Div. I Drake and even though it was a DIII vs DI matchup Grinnell forced them to play the uptempo game and the score was in the 130s.

I had to read the score in the paper to make sure I saw that correctly.

Yikes! That one looks like a score you'd find in the first round of the girls' HS tournament. The ones where Pickerington plays a team that grabbed five girls out of art class and threw them on the court.
