Something to think about...
Do people know that Northern only lost to Tennessee 13-9 a couple of weeks ago? Tennessee only had 9 first downs and 32 carries for 69 yards and the game was at Tennessee in front of 99,000 people. The Vols only had 225 total yards. It will be interesting to see if we can get to 300 total yards against them since the Vols couldn't do it against them at home. Looks as though they have a "salty" defense as Brandon would say.

Well this just means we're in for a 30+ point, 400-yard masterpiece from the Falcon offense.cowboyjoe wrote:Do people know that Northern only lost to Tennessee 13-9 a couple of weeks ago? 1. Tennessee is a bad football team. No QB, the lines stink, and they have to be focused on a SEC schedule. Seen them play once this year and was not very impressed at all.
2. MAC teams are always motivated to play the big BCS boys. Look at our results against some good teams in the past. OSU, Perdue, Oklahoma, and many others. Greg Brandon could be the coach and a team would still be motivated to play those schools.
NIU is a solid team, but they are not unbeatable. BG needs to open it up more and take some chances down field. If they do then the game will come to them.

I don't care how "bad" Tennessee is this year. 9 first downs and 32 carries for 69 yards? Motivated to play a MAC team or not is that the excuse we use when we played "down" to Miami and Eastern? At least we didn't let teams like that basically shut us out like N. Illinois did to Tennessee. I'm gonna venture to say we are going to get more than 9 first downs...and on the road no less. Tennessee should have been ashamed of themselves. At least we embarrassed only 15,000 - 20,000 people and not 99,000.
