BG shuts out UAF

Post by TG1996 »

1-0. Spratt makes 30 saves for the shutout.

Need to improve a few areas (got killed in faceoffs and were 0-8 or so on PPs), but a win's a win, and it's time to go for a sweep late Saturday night!

It's nice to get a win in our first CCHA game, and a shutout on top of that. I know I'm always tough on Spratt but he def. stepped up. A sweep would be an awesome way to start the CCHA season. With Nebraska-Omaha coming up next weekend we could potentially be 3-1 or 4-0 after our first 2 weekends if we play well.

After the game, several of the guys commented that they felt the extra room on the Olympic sheet - it definitely tired them.

Alaska-Fairbanks has a non-regulation ice sheet? I didn't know that.

Alaska game broadcast

Post by FalconFeathers »

Watched the game on the B2 broadcast, cost $7:00 pretty good quality.
Broadcast was loud and clear, why are our broadcasts on the bg radio so terrible you can hardly hear a thing? This has been the case year after year, isn't there money to purchase decent equipment???? Its frustrating to say the least !!!!

No, there really isn't. RSO has about enough money to operate and come out with their heads slightly above water at the end of the year. Add in that Stretch radio has such terrible quality, and it's not a good combination.

Olympic size is just as regulation as "NHL" sized.

So what what does that make our ice? Is our ice that much smaller than everyone else?
