Talk about the Buckeyes the Wolverines the Hilltoppers the Ducks the Beavers the Chanticleers... or anyone else who isn't BG or an opponent in this forum.

I'll take the high school football in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania anyday. I am still biased towards western Pennsylvania. In a lot of the towns, especially the steel towns, winning the game is huge for the community.

SW Ohio is the best football in Ohio. To each his own I suppose.

I have not followed high school football closely in Ohio for the last decade or so. I am going more by the past. I will however take SW Pennsylvania football over SW Ohio. :-)

I'm pretty pumped my alma-matter is making their 1st playoff appearance this year. Kettering Fairmont. Actually got a good draw, Northmont in the 1st round who won a tight one in the regular season. But really it's good because they don't play Colerain round 1
137,

Dover is Div III. Good luck to Kettering Fairmont!

Thanks SFF! Dover finished 9-1 this year and ended Avon Lake's 50+ game home winning streak in Week 2. Not bad for a team that returned only NINE lettermen this year.

Tomorrow night is New Phila at Dover. I will call my dad to make sure he calls me in BG with score updates.

GO DOVER!!!

Dover appears to be rolling the oats out of the Quakers.
More importantly, my Vikings beat Massillon 14-7. It's the first I've seen Erick Howard play this year. The kid's only a junior, and he's a fantastic running back. I'd love to see him continue his career in an orange helmet, but very early word has him at Michigan State or Michigan.

Yeah baby! Dover 45, New Phila 0. For those counting at home, that's 75-7 in two games over the hated Quakers....and 13 wins in the last 15 games with NP. Is John Cooper coaching NP?

Dover is now 10-1 and will play Canton South next Sat at 7...possiby at Paul Brown Stadium in Massillon. I hope the BG/OU game is a noon, 1 pm or 2 pm kickoff so we can stop for the Dover game on the way home. The only team to defeat Dover this year? Canton South in week one.

I believe the radio broadcast yesterday said BG-OU is a 2pm kick.

And my alma mater didn't lose yesterday for the first time since the last week of preseason.

There's a Div. I game at PBTS (GlenOak vs. Brunswick, I think). The Dover game will be down Lincoln Way/West Tusc at Central Catholic's stadium.

Perfect! BG/OU will be over around 5 or so and by the time we get back to town, we should be able to catch the 2nd half of the Dover game.
