Vs. Northern Illinois the Falcons led 13-10 to start the fourth quarter. Two NIU field goals, including the game-winner with 12 seconds remaining, gave the Huskies a 16-13 win.
I think their might be a problem with conditioning? We could easily be 6-2 or even 7-1 if it wasn't for these blown leads.

What players have you talked to????? I dont think there is a player on that team that would say their conditioning program wasn't intense. Noah & I watched some of the guys working out while we were out for football camp. The reason this thread is so short is because it makes too much sense to what you say. We've had the lead in all 4 of the above losses in the 4th quarter. The pessimistic people around here would rather just say they were earth shattering losses. Don't say we could be 6-2 or 7-1--don't say we miss a 100% healthy Freddie Barnes and Willie Geter to make our offense go a little better. Nobody wants to hear that maybe those two guys could have taken us over the top in the games they missed. Let's just fire Brandon. It's the best alternative right guys? What's wrong with Ohio this year? What's wrong with Miami this year? What's wrong with Toledo this year? All three of those teams should never have records like they are having this year either. Fire those coaches...is that the answer? Northern has been down for the last 2-3 years. I betcha they are glad they have that coach around this year and that they didn't fire him after those dismal seasons the last couple of years.

Yes, we could very easily be 7-1, but we aren't. A combination of poor execution, turnovers, mind-numbing offensive playcalling and an inability to stop the run have all caused us to lose those fourth quarter leads. I think the very last thing that these losses can be attributed to is conditioning. I have never been around the football program outside of attending games, but just seeing a picture of Coach Hillman makes me think he runs some rugged workouts.
In response to cowboyjoe's comments, if we had held on to beat the powerhouses from Ypsilanti and Oxford, should we really be throwing all sorts of praise at Coach Brandon? Those teams have still yet to beat a FBS team not named Bowling Green. We should never have been in a tight game with either of those two teams, let alone a chance to lose the lead late in the fourth quarter.
NIU - I bet they are glad to have Jerry Kill around this year and I'll bet they're glad that Joe Novak decided to retire after last season.
