Wow, nice job wasting your time cause none of that has to do with this situation. Bottom line is the only reason 24 wants the men's soccer team cut is because 2 years ago him and some friends were playing football in the field house turf room and BOTH soccer teams came in to use the turf room and 24 and his friends got kicked out and because the men's is struggling right now. If the men's team was as good as the women's team right now 24 wouldn't want them cut, and if the men's team was great and the women's team was he would want the women's team cut.

Dr. Reality - turn the caps off and remember that when those men's sports team were cut around 02 that men's soocer was on top of the MAC

24 - get over yourself, no one who is a fan of a college athletic program should want to see a team cut
Oh, and by the way, BG got crushed 4-0 by Michigan State yesterday. Worse yet, according to the BG News write-up of the game, they had no shots on goal for the entire game.

Pathetic. Nice performance though.
where in this article does it say they had no shots on goal?

Men's soccer falls to No. 25 MSU

The men's soccer team was dominated from the start yesterday as No. 25 Michigan State scored on the game's first two shots.

These goals set the tone for an eventual 4-0 victory for the Spartans, dropping the Falcons to 4-11-1 on the season.

The officiating was the big issue in this game. The three referees appeared to lose control of the game midway through the first half. One Michigan State player was kicked in the mouth, while another fell down without being touched. The second instance got the Falcons a yellow card.

"You never like to blame the officiating, but it definitely took a rhythm out of the game, and it changed the game," head coach Fred Thompson said.

The Falcons' offensive struggles continued as well, as they only had five shots on goal and never really applied serious pressure to the Spartans defense.

"I can't say the referees were the reason why we couldn't score goals," Thompson said.

The Falcons spent much of the game experimenting with different lineups, as they are trying to find the right formula for success as the Mid-American Conference tournament approaches.

Next up for the Falcons will be their home finale on Saturday against Buffalo. The seniors will get one last chance at a home victory, and the team will get one last chance at a regular season conference victory.[b]

The doctor does have a point. Not trying to ruffle any feathers, but I ran x-country and track at BG for a couple of yrs. In fact, it was one of the reasons why I chose BG over Penn St. If there wasn't track to supplement x-country, I would have looked elsewhere. Track and cross go hand-in-hand (at least for distance runners). That's all I'm sayin'. I'm not saying that soccer should be cut, or any other sport for that matter. I'm just agreeing with the fact that track and x-country go together.

Yeah, we should probably drop the only men's sport that wins any MAC championships. That makes a lot of sense.

1972 Reg Season Champs
1995 Reg Season Champs
1998 Tournament Champs (East Division Champs)
1999 Tournament Champs (East Division Champs)
2001 East Division Champs
2002 Reg Season Champs
2008 Reg Season Champs
