GO FALCONS!!

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEP DUH MAVS!!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Falcons up 2-0 after one.

Best costume: guy dressed up as Germaine Fitch (including crutches).

Very small crowd. Lucky if it's 1,000.

But...he was having trouble hitting the dang net on a 5:3...that was so frustrating!! It sure wasn't from a lack of effort though!!!

And....it really doesn't matter since WE WON!!!

3-2

We scored 2 in the first, let them back for 2 in the third, then we scored one more towards the end and held them off for the win!!

That's probably why Duh Mavs hate coming to BG so much. Here's hoping for a win tomorrow night too. Go Falcons.

Attendance was actually 1,250. I don't know what attendance usually is but that is the largest crowd of the young season.

Yeah that's a friend of mine, who as some on here know was involved in leading to the end of Mr. Fitch's career, as Dan Dakich reminds us in this video

Well to give you an idea, many of us have much higher expectations..... during my tenure on campus (79-83), if you didn't get a student ticket, you weren't getting into the game. It was the hottest ticket on campus (as well as basketball) - both were virtual sellouts each game. (yeah even basketball)

Many of us are hoping for sustained success so that hockey is king again.

So if you are a student and you go to the game...... bring a friend and expose them to the greatest BG experience...... :D

Nice win by the ICERS last night....Just a comment...Winning will certainly bring in more folks to the games but BG has got to improve the facility overall. I was in BG this past week and stopped by the ice arena and OMG does it need help! The parking lot and exterior of the building are a joke! It is not pretty to look at for sure. Inside the arena is not too bad where I guess it really counts!...I'm just saying we need to spend some $ to make it a better experience and more attractive to see a game....

I'm not exactly convinced he was trying to hit the net everytime. I almost think he was trying to get the rebound off the boards to Kantola.

It's supposed to be coming in February. Improve the quality of what's on the ice and who cares what the building looks like. Ever been to Yost? Looks like a complete dump.

That was an awesome game last night. It was the Dan Sexton Show for sure. It would've been nice to have a few more goals since we had 44 shots but winning the game is all that matters.
