Anthony Turner hurt his other shoulder today

Post by BGSU33 »

Coach said Turner hurt his other shoulder in the Kent State game today which is why he was out the rest of the game. He wasn't sure the extent of the injury. More tough news for AT. Hopefully it's not serious.

Are you in the press conference with him or something? How do you find this stuff out so fast?

Brandon's postgame press conference is on the radio broadcasts.

Barnes, Ransom, Geter, Turner...how many more important players can we lose and still be effective? Take the equivalent of those guys off of any other Division 1 football roster and see what their records would be. Anyone?

Oh ok. I ask because I am in the press conference when they say their remarks. I didn't know that it was broadcast out over the radio. Is it done live or broadcast recorded?

It's live. Feel free to give a shout out after the OU game.

Well effective this week, but next week who knows.

BS cowboy, total BS. I don't expect you to pay attention to the real world, but I would venture to guess we're one of the healthiest teams in all of college football.

I mean, I realize you have to give your coach an extra excuse because he's needed them so often this year, but this one is NOT valid. This is football, people get hurt, it's part of the game and every team in the country is dealing with it.

Oh, and FWIW, we haven't been that particularly effective in the parts of the season that we did have those guys (obviously never had Ransom, but he's played so little at the D1A level, we really don't know what he brings anyways).

Hammb, gotta agree with you. We have started virtually the same line up almost every game. This team is very healthy. Yes, we'd be better with those guys in, but a championship team gets wins anyway.

It reminds of when Omar was hurt, and WMU skunked us using a 3rd string true freshmen QB and we blamed the loss on the injury at QB.

Maybe if the team hadn't COMPLETELY given up after Omar got hurt, maybe we wouldn't have blamed that game on the injury.

If you were there, based on the score and the momentum, you know that the whole game changed on that one play.

BS Hammb. Find a team around that has played without their starting tailback and best receiver for all of their conference games. I know one thing Ransom can do and that's take it to the house for over 40 yards against a Big Ten team on the road like he did last year in the opening game. To Brandon's credit he has depth that makes us all forget that we are playing without those two players most of the time. Facts are facts. Not excuses, just facts. I wouldn't say we are pretty healthy at all. Turner and Dozier continue to be beat up along with Barnes and Geter. That's 4 starters and very key players.

I have to agree with cowboyjoe on this one. Willie and AT are both hurt and Bullock isn't 100 percent either. That was all of our running backs going in to the season. Looks like we might have a new RB though. Freddie is hurt and out for a few weeks and although he has not seen as many touches as he should have been, he is still our most clutch receiver on 3rd and 4th downs and when he is on the field defenses have to game plan for him. Not to mention many of our O-linemen have been dinged up and playing through it and that also includes Dozier. But yes, thats football...

So when Coach Brandon says that we are a beat up team, I don't think he is trying to use that as an excuse for anything, its the truth though. I do agree though that championship teams can overcome these situations, and we have yet to do so thus far.

Injurries had no impact in the loses to Miami and EMU. This team has enough talent and depth that neither one of those teams should have been able to come close to us. Period!
