Yost is not a dump. It's probably my favorite road arena to visit.pdt1081 wrote:It's supposed to be coming in February. Improve the quality of what's on the ice and who cares what the building looks like. Ever been to Yost? Looks like a complete dump.ffejfalcon wrote: Nice win by the ICERS last night....Just a comment...Winning will certainly bring in more folks to the games but BG has got to improve the facility overall. I was in BG this past week and stopped by the ice arena and OMG does it need help! The parking lot and exterior of the building are a joke! It is not pretty to look at for sure. Inside the arena is not too bad where I guess it really counts!...I'm just saying we need to spend some $ to make it a better experience and more attractive to see a game....

Falcons fall 5-3. UNO scores with 5 min left, then gets an empty netter for the split.

Jimmy played pretty well tonight. the few times when we stoped going hard, we gave up goals. Their goal tender kept them in the game for a pretty good strech of the 2nd. This team is working hard and it looks to be paying off.
BTW - when did the As arrive? Was that not announced, or have I just been in a cave?

What I found frustrating tonight was not the fact we gave up 3 goals in the 2nd period, but that it seemed like we were trying to go one-on-one with the defender and get our shots in. I felt like there was no puck movement, and I swear our point players didn't touch the puck once in the 2nd
. The Third was a nice improvement though, and i look forward to a return trip for a hockey game.
Completely agree. Even though I hate how good they play at home, there isn't a better home ice advantage in the CCHA. There's such a history in that barn and it's pretty well maintained for its age. That, my friends, is a sign from their administration that they care about their hockey program.dforde wrote:Who said Yost is a dump?? My point exactly. It's not pretty. Seriously. From the outside it looks like almost every other old brick building. ffejfalcon was saying how bad our building looks from the outside. I don't think it looks any worse than Yost.BGDrew wrote: Completely agree. Even though I hate how good they play at home, there isn't a better home ice advantage in the CCHA.
