Brandon's love for Amstutz

Don't think I really care for the friendliness between the coaches of two rival schools. You gotta hate that school and everything about them. How can you motivate your team properly if you are so friendly with the other coach?

You think Woody and Bo ever sat at the same table for lunch when then were coaching at OSU and UM?

I don't think it's really an issue. Brandon was talking about it on 1470 with Norm yesterday and Norm kept asking him questions about Amstutz. Brandon reiterated a couple times that he felt Tom was a fine coach, the MAC would miss him, etc. But he also said that he really didn't know him too well, because the rivalry would not allow them to be that close.

I think he understands what is behind the rivalry. I don't think he's a great coach, but I think he gets this part of it.

I just kept waiting for Norm to ask him when he was going to follow suit...he never did...

Who really cares? I have seen MMA fights between two guys that have a lot of respect for eachother, even two friends, and their whole sports is about trying to hurt the other person. Who cares that Coach Brandon is friendly and respects the rival coach? What happens on the field and off the field are completely different. This is just a lame way of finding another reason to attack the coach as if we don't have enough reasons already.

I want Coach Brandon's relationship with the coach at slUT to be similar to the relationship that Bill Belichick and Eric Mangini have...THAT is how 2 rival coaches should interact.

I wasn't trying to attack Coach Brandon. And there is a difference between being friendly and showing respect.

I just read Ryan's blog and thought it was interesting. Wanted to see what others thought of the situation. Sounds like I may have read too much into the friednship part, and this isn't a big deal. Not that I was trying to make it a big deal though.

There should always be respect. And I never like the word "hate" in these situations.

I know both Amstutz and Brandon are involved in FCA (I have "The Big Game" DVD) and would think that if they're going to "walk the walk" in that regard, respect would be a given.

Would you guys like to take Maureen Fulton back as beat writer now? Geesh. Did you see the list of coaches forced out while she was their beat writer? I guess that would be one way to get rid of Brandon.................

Well, plus I hear Ryan hasn't lost on the NCAA Football video game. Lol!

I wouldn't mind seeing Brandon stay at BG anyway. He always seems to screw up a game or two a year for you guys. Sometimes it's even against UT. :-D

In a press conference, she's a totally different person...at least to those from the television media.

The biggest point being missed here is that Brandon did not have to buy lunch for Numnutz since it was at the MAC lunch. We would not have an athletic department if we had to foot the bill for that.
