Can't believe a small school like North Texas found the money to do something like this.

North Texas is not a small school. Its enrollment is over 34,000.

FB,
Sometimes I REALLY wonder about your comments...(well, most times)....this coach does the right thing to address what he felt he was seeing and YOU"RE worried about the money it cost to test these kids. MY GOD! Use your head for something other than a hat rack!

It's a horrible waste of money, an un-American way of thinking, and a grotesque invasion of privacy.

If a player is not performing, don't play him and you deal with him as an individual. You don't invade the privacy of an innocent person because he is on the same team with a knucklehead.

Between random roadside checkpoints and ubiquitous urine testing I wonder what happened to the ideals behind the Constitution.

I can't believe any freedom-loving individual is in favor of mass, indiscriminate urine screening. I shudder at the thought. Heh, heh.

Go BG!

Good for him is all I have to say! Sure athletes are students, but like the article says, they sign consent forms, they're role models for their peers and the younger Mean Green Fans, and if the coach felt that he needed to hold all of his team accountable, even if its something as "trivial" as using street drugs, it's a great story and goes to show that it's not all about the W and L's, it's about building men who are ready for the world...

I'd love to know what BG players would fail a test like this? Not to name names, but I've been in a few classes with football players routinely came in late smelling like they had a marijuana plant in their bookbag...

I guess N. Texas has scared away any Florida recruits.

Ok, I was wrong on N.Texas enrollment. I had them as a DII school in my mind for whatever reason.

So nearly 20% of this team tested positive for drugs on this given day. Makes me wonder how far this is from the national average.
