Dean Petiot's father unexpectedly passed away this weekend. Dean (freshman D) made the trip to the Soo, didn't dress for Friday's game, and the unfortunate notification came in the middle of the night. Dean was able to immediately leave for home.

Our thoughts are with the Petiot family.

Dean, I know what you're going through. My dad passed 8 years ago, less than a month before I got married. Please know you are in Cookie's and I's thoughts and prayers. The whole Falcon family is there for you...always.

Dean, Our thoughts are also with you and your family. We both know how hard it is to lose parents, though I can't imagine how difficult it is at your young age!! We are so sorry for your loss.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
