For an attempt at conversation
After the tournament it will probably be
C - Polk-Larson
F - Knight-Marschall
G - Miller
G - Moten-Clements
G - Jakubowski
I think that this tourney and the absence of Miller and Knight will be very interesting as we will see Moten be the go to offensive threat (something very good for this offense down the road if he can develop into a real option) and Thomas, Sims and Brown will have a chance to get some high quality minutes.
Also, there are 16 players listed on the roster....dont we only have 13 scholarships to give? This is so complicated.......

I'm guessing Karaffa doesn't have a scholarship yet, so that would account for one. Are the transfers on scholarship during the year they have to sit out? I thought that they were, but if not, that would make the numbers line up.Globetrotter wrote:Also, there are 16 players listed on the roster....dont we only have 13 scholarships to give? We've actually got some depth this year, that's for sure.Globetrotter wrote:I hadnt thought about that yet. I love that smaller lineup and think it suits our personnel best.
I still want to see Polk on the floor whenever he is not A) winded, or B) in foul trouble.
He gives us a great defensive post presence that we don't have with any of our other players. He's also a good rebounder, and demands attention of the opposition's post on the offensive end. His size is something that most MAC teams cannot match up with, I'd like him on the court if he can be.
Still, it's great to finally have a few options that we don't cringe when they're on the floor!

I thought bringing Otis and B-Mo off the bench last season worked well. Let's not forget, Moten was 6th Man of the Year. I like him in that role.
I'm going:
Jo-Jak
Clements
Knight
Miller
Larson
Moten, Marschall and Polk all get good minutes off the bench.

Turnovers were quite a problem from what I remember.hammb wrote:At the risk of bringing up a completely irrelevant 3 year old argument, please tell me this was tongue in cheek?VDub26Falcon wrote:Hey now, John did a great job while he was running the point!!! He wasn't always on target with his shots, but I think he did a damn fine job running the offense!
