BG signs two new recruits

Point guard Kraus (6'2") and forward McElroy (6'8") who it seems will add to our defense in coming years. Two solid signs by the Falcons from what it looks like. Anybody have any more info on these two?

I don't know much about either, but seeing that McElroy goes to La Salle is a huge plus. Playing in the GCL you can almost guarantee he will be playing against potential D1 recruits every time out.

Don't forget that to go along with those 2 we get Goins and Graves next year. Graves being the gem.

McElroy was ranked as the #131 senior in the nation by a recruiting publication. (I forget which.)

Our new eligibles next year will be

Adrion Graves 6-4
Darion Goins 6-3
Austin Calhoun 6-7
Danny McElroy 6-8
Luke Krauss 6-2

Dare I say it? This could be the largest one-time infusion of talent into this program since I've been alive.

We'll see!

Danny McElroy 6-8

Evaluation
May, 2008: Strong, physical and athletic 4-man. Moves well and is very aggressive on the glass. He can rebound in crowds. Very good hands, and when he touches the ball, he gets the rebound. He is very strong and a rough finisher around the basket. This power forward is very physical playing defense. Quick feet - he can front the post

McElroy will fit in great next to a thin 5 that can run the floor. He is next on the wish list i imagine. Or he is Cameron Madlock.

Kraus and Jaku will form the Saltine backcourt.

Anyone think that Ryan Sims wont be back for his senior year?

Don't bet on it. Findlay people will stay home to watch Duke or some other lame ass school.

Oh, I forgot to pay reverence to Ben before speaking about another athlete from Findlay. I am now going to be punished severely because it is now a city law that when talking of any sport it must somehow be connected back to Ben.

Anyway, Kraus will be a nice addition to the team. He is an outstanding young man and all around good kid (who happens to go to the same school where Ben played basketball (don't want to go to jail)).
