GO PHILLIES!
Dover avenged their only loss of the year and beat Canton South, 35-14! Dover is now in the final 8 and will play Newark Licking Valley, Tim German's HS alma mater, Sat night in Zanesville. Both teams are 11-1.

GO TORNADOES!!

Freak if they win this week do they play next Friday? Meaning you would have to choose between the HS alma mater in the state final 4 and the college alma mater having a crucial MAC showdown at home.

Not sure when they would play if Dover wins. I think my dad said all Div III games are on saturday this year. If they play Friday, I will be at the BG game. If they play Saturday, I will have to find a way to get out of going to an engagement party for one of Mrs. Freak's friends.

I can't miss a BG game....especially if the Bulls win tonight. My blood is 98% orange and brown and 2% crimson and gray for Dover at this time.

Dover comes up just short, 35-28. Licking Valley jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead but the Tornadoes battled back....just ran outta time.

Dover ends the season 11-2, ECOL Champs again, two BiG wins over the hated New Phila Quakers and an appearance in the Final 8 of the playoffs for the 2nd time in 3 years.

Way to go, Dover.

Ben would be proud.

Nice season for your boys, Freak. Sorry to hear they couldn't move on.

But now, you can put 100% of your energy towards the Buffalo game next week! :)

Hoover beat GlenOak for the second time this season, and the Vikings are headed to the state semi-finals for the first time since 1986.
Unless there's rebracketing, which I doubt that there will be, Hoover gets St. Ignatius, likely at PBTS. Ignatius has looked awfully good this year.

Jaco,

Great to hear your Vikings are marching on. St. Ignatius should be walk in the park. Good luck to Hoover. Beat them guys from up north!

So true, SFF. You simply can't spot any team, let alone a team like Licking Valley a 3 TD cushion. But I'm damn proud of the Tornadoes. Another highly successful year.

Forgot to mention...the Vikings were taken to the woodshed by St. Ignatius, 34-7.
There's always next year. :)
