Can all the hotheads just chill out? This thread is turning into a giant p!ssing contest and it's a little ridiculous. Just chill out...if you want to bash each other, do it through a private message or something. Ok, some of you played hockey, good job. One of you is the parent of a player. That's great...just keep it off the board and keep it to private messages.

All of you other guys that post on this board and say, "I played hockey, so I know what I am talking about!" Well, you never played division I hockey. So your opinion means nothing. And outshooting a team every night means nothing if you can't score. Jimmy has a GAA of under 3, so we only need to score 3 goals to win a game, that's it. So Pooch's idea of shooting the puck from the blueline everytime may not be the best way to win hockey games.

Jimmy Spratt is a good goalie, and he has played his heart out for BGSU hockey over his four years there. Be grateful and keep your mouth shut.
Based on this logic I don't think anyone would be posting here or in any of the other Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba forums. So you have to have played Div. 1 hockey to know anything about hockey? Nobody on here, except maybe you, is claiming to be some type of expert. Also, I should be knocked out for standing up for myself against someone who came at me for merely stating an opinion? You're the only one on here who's wishing bodily harm on someone else.

We are 3-1 in games in which we allow fewer than 3 goals, we've also lost 3 games and tied two others despite scoring 3 goals in those games.

Now we all know I am a big Jimmy supporter, but why question the goaltending? Question the forwards. Yes, having Nick back would help give Jimmy a rest here and there. The S line is the only thing keeping us in games. If we must pick on one player pick on Cepis. He is garbage in his own end and shoots the puck every time he gets it.

whitness last night...Jimmy can be a good/great goaltender...it's just those lapses (resulting in "soft goals") that he seems to alway have that give him the bad wrap. he controlled them lastnight and played pretty well!

even though he beat the kid from NMU, Jimmy needs some of that...that kid was awsome last night!

Which is pretty much what most of us have been saying.

Exactly. This year the TEAM defense in front of him is the best he's had at BG. He should be putting up career numbers this year. The goal last night was not his fault at all. He had no chance. Nobody can really be faulted for it. Page broke his stick blocking a shot. Svendsen passed his to the defenseman like he's supposed to. It was just a bad deal.

"Well, you never played division I hockey. So your opinion means nothing"- Jon Horrell

This quote is a bit ridiculous. Sorry, Jon Horrell, but this is a sad statement from a mediocre minor league goaltender.

Do you think Ken Hitchcock played in the NHL, no he didn't but he won a Stanley Cup. Has every person on this board played DI? No, but some have played DIII, juniors and midget AAA. Playing DI is a great accomplishment but in the end almost all of us will have to get a job in the real world.

We all share a common love of hockey, so I really think it sad that you would come on here and rip falcon fans that supported you when you were struggling during your own career. Just think a bit more before you post even when you disagree with a some of our thoughts.

I mean come on, in college you were 11-26-3, and last year in the CHL you were 3-19-1 for the Wichita Thunder. If you know everything about hockey you should apply it to your own game.

Anybody out there want to don the pads & face some shots? It's easy to say what a soft goal is or not from the stands. Don't start that a woman won't know about stopping that little pill. :x I played some games for the Womens' Community hockey team in our rink. The puck is hard to see through bodies, feel through the pads & handle when you can stop it.
Do you have down times at work or mental lapses? Try it with a red light shining behind you calling attention to your mistakes.
Just support the team & all the players--- they might find fault with the fans for not cheering or even coming to games. They are doing two full time jobs--- if you don't like what's happening no one's making you go ---better yet get a uniform/ sweater & get out there. I have mine. I'll be wearing it Saturday while selling 50/50 & Chuck-a-puck somewhere in the arena. Check it out.
