I'm not expecting a large turnout, so I don't think the homefield advantage will be that great either.

I just have a bad feeling about this game.
Yup. I just don't feel a 'buzz' on the BG side about this game. Maybe the team has it, but it sure doesn't feel like the fans do.

It reminds me, to a degree, of the first game Noah ever attended, the Kent State game back in 2003. BG was coming off a spanking from Miami and was playing as the students were leaving town for some sort of break or another. The weather was crappy - cold and rainy.

Of course, BG was playing for a chance to play in the MACC game. And Josh Cribbs played lights out. But I can still clearly see Brandon turning to the sparse crowd in the fourth quarter and urging them to make some noise. That visual is burned into my memory. And the few of us in the stands responded. Don't know if it helped, but the effort was there.

Anyway ... those of you in attendance have to make up for those who cannot (or will not) be there.

Be loud, be proud! Go Falcons!

That was a miserable weather game too '87. I seem to recall it being in the upper 30s and drizzling all day. And yes, Josh Cribbs tore us a new one, but Harris was able to keep up and we won the game.

Like Warthog mentioned, I'm just not feeling the buzz for this game. The season started off with higher expectations than limping into the MAC title game. I'll still gladly take it, but I think the losses to EMU & Miami have really deflated my enthusiasm to the point that even getting to the MAC title game would make this season feel like a failure. I'll be at the game Friday and I'll be cheering my azz off, but I just don't feel the electricity for this matchup.

Cribbs ran all over the place that game. They definitely made the fourth quarter more interesting. I seem to remember him getting hurt in the corner of the end zone to end the game

The 2002 home EMU game in November was another ugly one with attendance rather sparse.

Come on Debbie Downers!!!

Post by FalconLove329 »

Okay.....enough of this Debbie Downer stuff! We all know that this is a big game with BIG meaning for the Bulls, BUT it's also a big game for us! Our guys know how to turn it up under pressure and I think they'll come out in full force! The keys is keeping them up for the WHOLE game...so if everybody, fans included, shows their excitement and intensity at the game, we will pull it off. So when you're in the stands on Friday night, get up and make some noise, jump around....you're gonna need to keep moving to stay warm anyways!

well...either keep moving or smuggle in a flask of some liquid warmth :-D

as of 11:30 am on Thursday, the predicted high is around 30, and the predicted overnight low is upper teens with chances of snow with wind chills in the teens all day long. So yeah...ya'lls better be loud in Doyt L. Perry tomorrow night!! The more bodies you get in that stadium, the louder it'll be and the warmer ya'll will be!!

Rock The Doyt!!

I look to last year. We had a few disappointing losses (Miami & Ohio) mid-season. Yet, we finished out with 4 straight wins with basically the same group of guys. They took it one game at a time and showed resourcefulness getting Turner in the mix. I'm seeing that same philosophy this year by working in Beam and Rice.

It doesn't matter who has bad feelings or how quiet the buzz is. This team had it in them to win out last year with only a slight chance at a bowl game. There's no reason this year's team can't do the same with a MAC East title within reach. If you add in a great group of seniors playing their last game at the Doyt and I think we've got a better shot at winning this game than most people think. Buffalo has some momentum and a good coach, but I think we are short changing ourselves. BG is playing good football right now and those "bad losses" happened over a month ago.

Making it the MACC would be disappointment? This was the primary goal this year, and we are in a position to win it. I just want a chance nothing less. Cheer on this team loudly and help them reach the game this year.

Willy will be right there with the best QB that we have faced thus far (Weber, Minny). However, I feel more comfortable with our defense facing a pocket passer than I do against a guy like Edelman or NIU's QB. They have some serious weapons at RB (Starks) and WR (Roosevelt), but I just don't see us losing another one at home. I feel more confident about our chances tomorrow night than I do next Friday at UT.

Well, here's one fan that is definitely buzzed about tomorrow's game. I CANNOT WAIT. Despite everything that happened this season so far, we are two wins away from the title game. First step is tomorrow night. I will have plenty of Capt and Coke in me to stay warm. :-D

Yeah, Freak, but you're always buzzed, so does that count?

Just read that story on ESPN's front page about the only bowl-bid in Buffalo History...that's an amazing story. I also liked the sounds of that "Bull In The Ring" Drill...I wonder if Buffalo still does that today.
