No,no! I've been telling my kids that for 22 years. They've only been alive that long. I've been suffering since the late 70s!Falconfreak90 wrote:U poor suffering thing...h2oville rocket wrote:I keep telling my kids that about UT every year, too FF. Good win for the Falcons last night. That's exactly what we should do to DII competition on our home floor, and the guys took care of business. Hard to really grade the team based on last night, but it was nice to just watch some basketball again...cannot believe we have to wait nearly a month for another home game!
The first half I though our offense really struggled to get any good looks in close or even mid-range. We were, however, able to get a lot of good looks from the perimeter, and we made enough 3s to have a pretty good lead built even though we weren't dominating inside like you'd expect us too. In the second half it was quite the opposite. We still made some outside shots, but we were able to get in close at will as well. OP had a couple nice touches (either finishing or getting to the line) on good entry feeds. Miller and Knight were both able to get to the basket.
All in all it was a good game. I'm curious to see how our rotation goes once we start playing higher level competition. Last night it seemed as though just about everyone, except Karaffa, played similar minutes. We rotated guys in and out pretty freely. Best of all most of them contributed something to show they belonged on the floor. I'm anxious to see how this rotation shakes out as the season ramps up. One thing I found interesting was the very end of garbage time. We finished the game with Knight, Miller, Karaffa, Brown, and Thomas on the court. 2 true freshmen, one walk on, and the two guys who were key contributors last year and suspended last week. Don't know if that was coincidence or if a message was trying to be sent, or what. I just thought it was noteworthy.

I could not get over the fact that we are deep this year. We started the game with two MAC honored players on the bench. Unreal after the past several years.
The only other thing would be that the male member of the dance team deserves some pom poms of his own. While I understand not having a halter top, I don't understand the pom pom thing. If its a money issue, I will pony of the bucks for them. It's just a continuity thing for me.

I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.
