Give Buffalo credit they played hard and took the game from us but we definitely tee'd it up for them to come swipe- and they did!

Also, to the person that said the TU game doesn't matter, there is an outside scenario involving Kent? I think? Beating Buffalo..... :-)
I hope everyone could hear Coach B press conference.

Really "Terrible" is the word
From the reports sounds like "embarrassing" and "pitiful" might be used to describe his post-debacle oration....

Two things.

1. The job by the hands team on that onside kick was atrocious. Do they practice onside kicks? Everyone waited to catch the ball on its way down rather than going up and getting it at the highest point. That is remedial football there and that was sickening to watch.

2. Your bread and butter all year has been the QB draw with Turner. So he fumbles on 3 and 1...if he hadn't he was in or at min., far enough to get the first down. So the next play, when you are in need of one yard you try to throw a screen. They keyed on it, blew up the blockers and Tuner/Sheehan had no chance. I just don't understand that play call in that situation. When you throw a screen pass three things need to happen to get a first down. You have to throw a 10-15 yard pass, make a catch, and pick up blockers. On the draw you catch the snap and hang on.

Oh well...frustration I suppose. I'll still be freezing next week in Toledo.

Should have went for 2 at the end of the first OT. That was your best shot at winning. You hadnt stopped Buffalo in 4 possesions. Take your chances there!!!

It seemed to me that the team just quit in the fourth quarter. No pressure on defense and questionable decisions on the offense. I have never seen a team just collapse like that!

As for Brandon's comments about the crowds this game is a perfect example of why the casual fan doesn't go to the games. It was kind of a slap in the face to stand in the cold for three hours just to see the team fall apart and the season go down the tubes.

Hopefully next year will be better!

I'm not gonna say the team quit in the fourth quarter. The defensive scheme certainly changed and that allowed Buffalo to waltz right down the field.

I would say that the defense sure looked like they quit in the second OT. Looked like they knew it was over, so just let them score as soon as possible so we can get the heck out of here.

Terrible -

1. Every single one of our timeouts, including the overtime extra point when we needed one to get an 11th man on the field.

2. The onside kick coverage with 5 guys standing still waiting on the ball and Corey standing at the midfield line for no apparent reason. Even I know that the first row of guys needs to provide coverage so that the back row can attack the ball and make a play. Sitting back gets you beat on that play.

3. GB rallying the troops before overtime. Turner Gill had his entire team together prior to OT while GB wandered the sidelines and the players huddled around the space heaters. GB saw Gill's meeting and only then thought it would be a good idea to get the entire team together, which took a little while since nobody wanted to leave their space heater.

4. GB and his staff weren't the only ones making terrible decisions tonight, though. I made the terrible decision to leave work early, drive 2 hours, and watch that garbage while freezing my azz off. 2 hours later and I'm home before midnight. Yippee!

I totally agree with #1. If you noticed, we went back to '05 with the play calling, where we called the play, then looked to the sidelines to make sure it was okay to still run that play. That part wasn't the bad part. The bad part was that the coaches on the sidelines stood their with their thumbs up their butt trying to decide if they should keep the play or change it. Pitiful!

The entire game I shook my head in disbelief as I watched the QB sneak 60% of the time. What's sad is that I, like most of you have done at our other games, called the plays before they were run. That screen play in OT that looked horrible? Yeah...did we run any other play out of that formation other than the screen? Maybe a QB draw, but that's it. Why go out in a formation where we only run 2 plays that can be played against at the same time with no problems.

Just Terrible

How incredible was the turnaround? Bowling Green had 14 first downs at halftime to Buffalo's four. The Bulls finished on top, 23-22. UB had 14 of the game's last 18 first downs.
