Spelling errors aside, I used to deal with Brandon on a weekly basis. He said a few questionable things, but most of the time he held his guys and himself accountable, and always treated people with respect.
That's why this was so disappointing to me. Disrespecting the fans, and the band, so I hear, is extremely disappointing. I was unhappy that they lost, but then I got back to the office and got online and heard about this and I was pissed.
I hope he apologizes formally, not just in passing in next week's press conference. He owes everyone that much, including his players.

Here's mine.
Coach Brandon,
My name is Erica ******* and I am a 2006 graduate of BGSU. I currently reside in Baltimore, Maryland where I teach inner-city high school students about all things academic, social, and even athletic. In fact, my students have now taken to following Bowling Green football and I use the discussions about it in my classroom to motivate and encourage my students to do well academically. I even have a BGSU pennant hanging permanently outside my classroom door for all the school to see. It is a great source of pride for me.
So it is with a heavy heart that I apologize for being a pathetic fan. I know I should have been at the game, but the 600 mile drive in winter-weather conditions, coupled with the fact that I, unlike football coaches, don’t make a lot of money in my profession, prevented me from being present at last night’s game. For this, I am truly sorry.
I would like to thank you, however, for helping make a decision I have been pondering for a while much easier. My education at Bowling Green prepared me for my current studies at Johns Hopkins University here in Baltimore. I had been considering giving some money to one of the institutions as a thank you of sorts, but was unsure as to where I should send the money. After last night’s press conference, I have decided that Bowling Green State University will not get a dime of my money until you are removed or resign as the head football coach. For this, I thank you. JHU thanks you as well.
It is a sad day for me as a Falcon fan. After Urban Meyer left, I looked to you to continue the greatness of the program. I looked to you to inspire students, alumni, and local supporters. I looked to you to instill a sense of community and family for BGSU. You have failed miserably and this pains me greatly.
Good luck against Toledo.

I haven't missed a home game in over 10 years and last night was no exception. Took off work at 3, tailgated til 5:45 and then headed in to the game. I don't care if no one came to the game I just know I will always be there. It's obviously disappointing to see that kind of turn out but not everyone are die hard fans either. Maybe Brandon has some incentive in his contract that deals with attendance. Lord knows he needs them with the amount he gets paid compared to all other Division 1 coaches.

I got a response... I'd debating whether I should post it or not.

Here's the response I got:
Grant,
I will never apologize for calling out the fans. People need to understand SUPPORT. Support isn’t running a message board that is demeaning and insulting not only to me, but my coaches and players as well. I realize circumstances sometimes dictate not being able to make it to all the games. I never said any of you were not true fans. I said only the true supporters showed up. As you said, thousands of “true fans” will be here long after I’m gone and still not coming to games.
Support and winning go hand in hand. Rarely do we have one without the other- except at BGSU. For six of the last seven years we have won at BG with disappointing home game support. Granted we have struggled at home this season. However, I remember big wins at home through the years with poor crowds. I don’t schedule the games or set the times, but that shouldn’t matter. Those are excuses.
As I said in my post game remarks, our players deserve better. The UB game had championship implications. As far as our players leaving before the alma mater, that is regrettable, and it will be addressed with the team.

What a douche. I guess he doen't read the posts that support him and the team. Negative criticism goes hand in hand with positive criticism, just like winning and attendance. Both the players AND fans deserve better.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Here's the response I got:

I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.
That's a slap in the face. For him to say what you do isn't supporting the team is a joke, especially the way you prefaced your e-mail. I wouldn't step foot in that stadium until there was a different coach if I were you.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Here's the response I got:
